Really?

I found I could sell Items by dropping them on a shopkeep...

Anyhow, I was doing great until a boss robot tore me in half.

Hahah! Discovered a bug. Apparently at least sometimes, active abilities will persist between saving and loading. I had an adventurer with the fire breath spell that died, then I loaded my other guy, and his active ability was the fire breath spell, even though he didn't learn it/didn't have that skill tree.

Anyway, the only thing I feel this game is missing is a little more to seperate the artifacts (random ones) from the regular equipment. Like, perhaps an artifact could grant some random passive ability when worn or something. Unless it already has that and I haven't discovered it.

Game is amazing.

This is truth.

I am detecting some DF references as well. Losing is fun and Sewer Brew just on my first (incredibly short) game. Also
Spoiler: THOSE EYEBROWS... (click to show/hide)

There's a LOT of references. Dwarven Mountainhomes, All craftsdwarfship, dwarven tantrums and one other just from what I've seen.

In fact, this game is like the Kingdom of Loathing of roguelikes. It's a masterpiece.

It's my best Steam purchase in terms of fun so far. Definitely worth the money if you like even one of the aspects (detailed crafting, random stuff, characters customization [the only thing that can't change is the looks! though it would be cool to have a female sprite], difficulty [jegus, normal mode is outright PAINFUL], or anything else)

My favorite thing so far is I can't decide.

I was doing killtastic damage then I was lagkilled by a legendary monster.

I'd just mastered using the sword as well. I could tetanus kill things from three squares away.

To sell things, you can drop them on the shopkeeper guy and he'll offer you a price. You don't /have/ to steal/buy something first.

You can usually get a really good price on useless stuff.

What do the lutefisk tithes do? I have a horadric lutefisk cube and have like 20 tithes. Am I gaining anything?

Oh yeah, another thing: I can't stop choosing Smithing as a skill. Fine swords and other weaponry are SO useful early-game.

How do you get lagkilled in an offline, turnbased game? Blaming lag has it's limits.

EDIT:
though it would be cool to have a female sprite

Interesting fact : The art pack released on the blog a few days ago includes a design for a female protagonist.
