Looks like they are also going to be making a female hero. I'm sure that will win over a few more people to buy the game.

I wonder if this means that they will need a new intro screen spoofing another game. Hope so.

Ambiguous New Fun

    Sinks of Mutation
Do something with the Footy Laser Beam Cannon
    Procs on Armour
Make intelligent monsters able to open doors
    No Ticket! Remember Your Charlemagne!
    Diggle Vending Machine Repairman
Extra Fun on Levels 4 and 8
    More Achievements
    More Uniques
More Rooms on Level One and Two
    Engage the Insult Tables
    Graves

Wait, Graves? So... We're going to be able to find our own dead bodies ala tons of other roguelikes? I hope they make it so you will run into the undead abominations of your previous selves who still have all of your old equipment and the same skills when you last played them.

Of course, it could just mean that you'll be able to open those coffin things on level 2 :P

You can already run into the corpse of previous adventurers, they come with a couple random items from your previous inventory.

Well there already are sarcophagi, so I guess the graves will be similar but lootable?

I would say so, but probrably not without whatever body was laid down in there coming back to life.

Playing mage is such a giant kite-fest.
Can't wait when mana regeneration finally kicks in.

I don't think those are corpses of your previous adventurers though. My very first character ran into one of those corpses just a few minutes into the game. Not to mention every time I find one I get some piece of equipment I either have never seen, or I know I have never died holding. (like plastic ring or a named melee weapon)

There are only so many items in the game. You're bound to come across two items a previous character may have carried through sheer odds.

That's not entirely true, there's a theoretically infinite amount of different equipment! HOORAY FOR RANDARTS have I mentioned I'm psyched for equipment procs??

A proc is a buff/debuff that applies to stuff. For example, Assassination's Et Tu? skill is a proc. When you attack, if gives you a chance to activate that proc, thus giving you 5 extra points of damage on a successful hit.

There is a guide on procs if you're still confused:

oh and what is a proc? I have no idea.

A proc is like a scripted event or effect that can happen on some trigger attached to an item, sort of like this: http://www.wowwiki.com/Proc

Like for instance, it depends on how much leeway we're given for proc type effect but you could have a piece of armor that casts fireball when hit like 2% of the time, or any number of things. But it really depends on how they code it in.

Just something for equipment to do other than give stat bonuses.

Oh, so it's an innate ability thing?

Makes sense. I don't get the name though.

There are already procs for weapons. I had a mace that has a chance to shoot fire. Sad thing is, procs are the first thing to go with corruption, so I can't provide a picture...

What, holy snap really? Well, I wouldn't mind an improvement on these.

Or armor/weapons that "activatable" or something down the line.
