If we have a Psionic already, can we add one more?

using this:

http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=7947714&postcount=13

and classing as a bog standard monk.

Illithid monk... that's as awesometastic as a Choker Knight. Considering the close relations between Chokers and Illithids to begin with, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

:D consider me grinning. in a tentacley way.

plus the extra tentacles and grappling fit perfectly with being a monk.

I reckon cript's evil wee crab is gonna be a fuckin' star though.

background idea: Party is somehow affected by the large amunts of psionics in the area, and decide to band together?

Welcome to the group. Its fine to see an other creature that understands the value of sentient life.
The only thing we still lack now is necromancer to put the bodies of our prisoners to use after they have been choked, their souls sucked out and and then the brains served as dinner.

invisiblecastle.com/stats/view/26873/   did i do it right?
@Hastur:
Is Metal Messiah a custom class? If so, I'd like to recomend that you go with a Paladin of Tyranny instead. It seems to be basically what you're looking for:

-Smites Good for +Cha mod to hit and +class level to damage.
-A special mount that could reasonably be a mechanical steed.
-Aura of evil and despair that gives enemies -2 to saves.
-Dark Blessing, for +Cha mod as profane bonus to saves.
-Full BaB, 1d10 hit die, martial weapon and heavy armour proficiencies.
-Rebukes & Commands undead like an evil paladin.
-Divine spellcasting with Lawful Evil spells.
-Ability to inflict harm and cause disease with a touch.
-Code of conduct where you have to be a villan or lose your powers.

wow that seems even better. i didnt think i'd get heavy weapon proficicies and profane bonuses to all saves, +aura of despair.  Seems pretty good, can i be this one too GM? not that im picking it yet, it would be a tough decision.

I'm changing my character now. To a necromancer. I'll have the new sheet later tonight. Should I be a cleric or a wizard? Would arcane or divine magic be more useful? I could animate dead at 3rd level with a cleric and 4th level with a wizard or sorcerer. And with a cleric I can heal and control undead.
Screw it. I'm staying with the gnoll.

There is a homebrew Necromancer class but I'm not sure its properly balanced and a necromancer variant for wizards in unearthed arcana.
I think arcane would be more useful since we could need a nuker and large amounts of undeads should keep the need for healingspells low.

Edit: To slow it seems. I was rather surprised by your sudden decision anyway.

Ok, going down from my last real post...

Metal Messiah: So it's basically like an anti-paladin? Would the Paladin of Tyranny class work? They seem pretty much the same to me. I'd be fine with a mechanical mount, as long as it's magic. I have a beef against clockwork contraptions. I'd prefer for you to go with the anti-Paladin.

Sesthorono: Approved.

Oolooth: Approved, though I'm going to request you keep character sheets for your Renfields, as well. How you're going to do skill checks and actions are fine, too. You'd just switch hosts by charming them and... doing whatever it is you do. Do you crawl into their ear or something?

Imp and Meep: Approved.

Mind Flayer: You'll get the racial bonuses at the appropriate levels, but not the BAB or saves. You'll get those from class levels. And when it says HD, substitute class levels.

Thanks for listing all the stats and whatnot, everyone. And the consensus seems to be small village, forest, etc. so I'm placing us...

I'm working on the village map now. As for the session times, 20:00 GMT on Thursdays works for me. We can start whenever after this coming Thursday, as that's the day school ends for the summer.

Hastur and Dremora, you're character sheets are good except you still need to do skill points and possessions.

So, is everyone ok with the other version of the Tiefling? Whenever a give it a racial ability without approval, I feel like I'm cheating.

And finally, on a totally unrelated note, I love internet history. I was looking up the Monk class on SRD, but instead of going to the homepage and going through the classes menu, I typed 'monk' into the URL bar. The first option was the monk class on SRD. Convenience at it's finest.

Tiefling is cool. Also, I cannot play on this coming thursday or the Thursday after. If I can, I'll be three hours late.

That homebrew necromancer is a excessively strong. Stealing 1d12 health per class level on a failed save is a powerful effect. Summoning an arbitrary number of skelephants that last for two weeks as a standard action for 60gp a pop needs no explaination, nor should the aura of automatic undead conversion and infinite self healing that kicks in at level 3.

@Araph: I'll draw up a seperate character sheet for the orc. It doesn't say that I have to crawl into their ear, but it doesn't say I can't either. So I might as well.

I have no objections to the shadowstep power. If you're playing a monk, you'll need all the help you can get.
