@ Hastur
I'll approve of the Jugulator if it doesn't have the resistances. On second thought, how about it gets the resistances over the levels? Sort of like how it can use more chains at levels 6 and 12. Also, if you're going with monster levels, the monster bonus feats would be fine. Just type up the level progression chart, with it's BAB, saves, feats, etc.

how do i figure out how many abilities to give myself? Im thinking using a monk as a baseline, cuz he gets one or more abilities like every level + his natural feats + race abilities and he attacks with his natural attacks and not magic weapons he buys.  As it stands right now i was just going to become a cleric of somekind.
This is the hard part about the concept. Everything has to be homebrewed. There's no easy answer to any of this. You work up a progression, post it, talk about it for a while, revise, repeat.

BTW, why jugulator? It's clearly a kyton.

Are these roughly balanced? They add to +4. I can make that +2 if I need to.

Depends. What are you ditching? Quickness, in particular, is one of the most powerful abilities in the game.

@ Frelock
The quasit is fine except for, like, two things that I can't remember. I remember seeing a problem, but I don't remember the problem. When I remember it, I'll post it, but don't forget to not let me forget to remember what I forgot that I remembered forgetting.

The only things I left in were the flying (lessened to 30ft instead of 50), the polymorph ability(bat only), the natural armor (tuned down to +3 instead of +5), the natural attack (which only deals 1d4 damage, no poison), and the darkvision(60ft).  Oh, I also switched from quasit to imp, but they're close to the same, besides alignment.

Also, the more changes, the less balanced it will be, disregarding the total mod.

At any rate, I have had a vision of what I must be!

I think Quickness is a little too overpowered.

I'd prefer if it was closer to 0 for each individual stat, like this:

BRILLIANT! Unfortunately, I dont know how psionics work. I'll read up on it and post a yea or nay.

And I remembered what I forgot. I was going to say that flight manueverability should be good instead of perfect, and that imps should have a size related bonus to hide.

Monkey and variant: approved!

When I get home I'll type what I think a monster class would be like as an example, if you want, Hastur. Then you can change it to what you were thinking of and we'll decide a balanced version of it.

EDIT: I'm allowing psionics. If anyone already made a character but wants to change it because of psionics, go for it.

IM GOING TO BE A BRAIN MOLE!, since we have a crab person and a monkey.........

BTW is a monkey really killable on sight to humans? or even a tiefling, thieflings can go into towns(in my mind, like halforcs), so can monkeys. also monkeys are not metal.

I suppose a monkey wouldn't be a kill-on-sight creature, bit an EVIL monkey would be!

...

Ok, the monkey isn't as menacing as one would hope, but still.

And the psychic crab might want to be a small creature instead of tiny. And can crabs talk? Would psyhicism make it telepathic? They have to be able to communicate in common.

If it's possible, though, I'd prefer to stick with monstrous monsters instead of animalian monsters. Demonic things are good, 'cause everyone knows they're bad. So if there was a demonic sentient monkey or something, it'd fit with the theme better. I say monkey instead of monkey and crab because crabs are ugly, and therefore they are bad guys.

As I'm looking through some of these character ideas I wonder what kind of dungeon would they reasonably be found together in.

Adventurer to teammates: "Help! I fell into a shark pool!"
Bugbear: "Sorry, we didn't have any sharks. We do have a psychic crab though."
Crab pinching its claws at adventurer: "Nrrrgh"

Are you saying I should play a fiendish Awakened Monkey Ranger?

If fiendish is too far (or not enough for that matter), how about a Puppeteer which happens to be controlling a monkey at game start?

Very good, I'll update the character sheet.

A fiendish monkey would be good. I just need it to be something adventurers would happily slaughter. It doesn't have to actually be different from how it is now, it just needs to be fiendish somehow. Just saying it's fiendish works.

I'm liking the way this thing is turning out...
