Edited the above post to include a levelled-down Wight's stats, see how Araph feels about it.

That looks just action-economy-slaying enough to work.

I would like to say that I vote for EITHER raiding a village, OR attacking a caravan. I want SOME of them alive though. or I will pelvic thrust your mind into oblivion.

Just used the Ironman roller for my stats.  I laughed:  Rolled a 15 for Constitution.  Constitution means nothing for Undead!  XD

Looks good to me, except for the +8 to Move Silently. Given your killable nature, I guess the undead HD is ok. You are still going to be leveling up with class levels, though, right?

Aye, so the HD would apply thereafter.  I could drop the Skill bonus to +4 (it's +8 for the base creature) and put it on par with other starting races (or split it into + Hide/MS).

Edit:  Snowflake Jack

Stat Roll, Ironman Style!

Possession purchases as follows.
Quote
Meat Cleaver (handaxe stats), 6gp
Cosh (sap), 1gp
Leather Armour, 10gp
Buckler, 15gp
Backpack, 2gp
Silk Rope, 50ft, 10gp
Traveller's Clothes, 1gp
3 pieces gold
18 pieces silver
20 pieces copper

Snowflake Jack is three years old (death age 24), which is longer than most wights manage.  On the other hand, most wights get killed within a few minutes, cut down by their former comrades, or else die in the months thereafter when sacrificed by their creators to buy a few seconds for escape.  Jack was lucky enough to outlive his master's death at the hands of adventurers and secure his freedom.  His only clues to his former identity (lost at the moment of death) are the snowflake tattoo on his arm, a torn half of a love letter addressed to 'Jack' (no clue as to who from) and the set of lockpicks he was 'born' with (now long-since broken).

Jack has been wandering the world for some time now, trying to keep his nature quiet and avoid being tracked down.  To this end he employs a hatchet to cut the heads off victims before they can rise again as new wights.  The new wights would of course be absolutely subservient to him, but this way he avoids the risk of starting one of the occasional 'wight plagues' that end up with undead-hunts starting.

Edit 2:  You could always call a game tomorrow, just because.  =)

I could totally go for a game tomorrow. I was playing a gig tonight, so, I couldn't make it for half an hour or so.

WHO'S UP FOR A GAME TODAY, ALL IMPROMPTU-LIKE?

Same time as the normal sessions, 20:00 GMT.

Oh, and Jack's health should be 12. We start with the highest possible HP for our class at level 1, then roll for the following levels.

Lawsome, I should be able to make that.  You'll need to pm me your IP whilst I get Hamachi reinstalled, though.  It isn't clearly specified in the monster description, so I'll ask for a ruling.  Do the temporary hitpoints from energy drain last for an hour, a day, or until they get used up?  (Energy drain does 5hp damage to targets, gives 5thp to the wight).

I'm gonna go with a day, because otherwise you could get, like, a bajillion-and-12 hitpoints at level 1

EDIT: According to the poll at the top of the page, we're raiding a weak caravan on our way to attack a village. Sound good to everyone?

I will most likely not make it before the end of the session. I run my own IRL campaign on Fridays.

Sounds good to me, though I uninstalled Hamachi a while back and have forgotten how to operate it.  >=/

How do I get it so that 'join a network' becomes valid?  It's currently greyed out and every time I try to 'power on' the "Hamachi server denies your request".

Yes, apparently.  Looks like you're raiding a weak caravan on the way to a weak village.

Let's wait till the caravan reaches the village, then burn the women and rape the houses!
