Only once your BaB is 4 or greater. The combat expertise feat is only allows you to take penalties/bonuses less than or equal to your BaB. Incidentally, as a first level beguiler, you have a BaB of 0, so your combat expertise feat doesn't actually do anything right now.

Huh.. must of forgotten about that. Granted I'm only taking it now because I can't take weapon finesse yet and I plan on taking improved feint after weapon finesse.

Also I start a lot of sentences with granted.

Also, for Barbarossa: The Battle Hedgehog.
This looked good at first, but then I realized that it wasn't quite as good as the Knight. I might look into Blood Spiked Charger, though.

I have a character portrait now! and I've done my skills, I think correctly, (I used the SRD monk skill point formula)

Just so everyone knows, we need to agree on what we're going to do in the first session. I need to know so that I can make a map of the area. My vote goes toward searching Ckusay's lair's ruins, since he was 8 levels higher than us.

I still think that its a bad idea to go into lvl10-paladin infested territory but its not like I have a better suggestion.

Spoiler: I give this plan the (click to show/hide)

Maybe when we've gained about a dozen levels...

I'll be gone for at least the first 3 hours this week. Next week I should be there, though.

We shouldn't head to the tower until the whole thing dies down, right now we should just try to find an abandoned or almost abandoned dungeon and wipe out it's settelers,  and possibly recruiting ones who realize our power.  When I say power, I mean the power we believe we have, not any actual power.

When does the game start? Preferably in eastern US time, not GMT.

Starting time in various timezones. Choose the applicable.

21:00 /  9 PM - CET (UTC+1)
20:00 /  8 PM - GMT (UTC+0)
15:00 /  3 PM - EST (UTC-5)
14:00 /  2 PM - CST (UTC-6)
13:00 /  1 PM - MST (UTC-7)
12:00 / 12 AM - PST (UTC-8)

This table should cover everyone as far as I know.

@King: Sounds like a reasonable alternative but i don't know how problematic it could get to own a piece of real estate. Without followers to protect it, it would be worthless and I'm not sure that we can get any at level 1.

True, although once we get to lvl 3 and I can start producing zombie minions, that problem will start to clear itself up.

I suggest we work on getting through this forest alive.  There's tons of weak beast creatures our DM could throw at us, and we could say we're making our way towards the nearest town.  Before we do anything big, we need to start small and gain some XP.

Well then all we can do is waylay stuff, I suggest we find a bridge that has ample room underneath for a camp and toll passerby's.  At least that will be our day to day thing, we could always do other stuff when the dm thinks of a good adventure.

I would like to propose that we take over a farm, cavern or cabin sufficent to house a set of nine horrible monsters. This may or may not involve killing the current owners of the place we take over.

I'd like to point out that I am chaotic neutral and simply a beastial race and not a monster, THANK YOU VERY MUCH.  Plus a bridge would give us shelter, water, and a constant supply of food and wealth.
