I vote for the Up with Feudalism map. (Or something like it.) Something that awesome should not be allowed to languish.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

It was pretty awesome. We started with just the land mass, then added our own things. Good times.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

All in all, maybe the funnest I have ever had with a forum game, even though it died as soon as it really started.

Oh, THAT one. I remember that, though I didn't sign up until after it died...

I'd say a fresh map'll be good though

Okay, one thing here, and I hate to be a downer but it must be said.

In Ituems game he was unable to keep up with it even though he had a program to do most of the work.

How do you plan on keeping this up? It is going to take hours of your time to run each turn, and that is in the beginning before it get complicated.

Do you really think you can handle it?
If this was directed at me also, I wouldn't be using Ituem's system; I looked at it and it indeed looks too complicated. I don't know exactly what kind of system I would be using, but it'd involve small numbers, if nothing else.

I'd like to provide this as reference material for both Irony and ggamer, it being a system akin to something of a combination of the two gamestyles. Might take a bit to read through it all, I'll admit, but it's a damn good setup.

I'd also like to voice my interest in both games. I, too, will need something besides C++ to busy myself with over the summer holidays.

So, I was thinking. That Feudalism map looks awesome.

Should we-

(A)- Do like that, start with a blank landmass and add features over time or

(B)- Use the fractal land mass generator.

Perhaps each forum could could make their own maps which will then be combined together.

there is an original map with a landmass on it which is divided into pieces. Each piece is given to a forum to fill in. When the game starts the pieces are fitted back together
