You turn away from the creature! Damn, you need more ammunition...you remembered seeing four of your arrows sticking out of Giak as you ran in to engage. You pluck one, quickly prepare it, but the angle's all wrong. You can't get a clear shot! Instead, you relax the bowstring and pluck the remaining 3 arrows out of the corpse-they're the kind used by Sommlending soldiers, heavy and designed to pierce through thick enemy armor, unlike Kai arrows which are lighter and thinner to take better effect of your accuracy.

Silent Fox decides a more simple approach is needed! He summons a solid sphere of stone and blasts it into the Gourgaz's ugly face, tearing open his left cheek, punching into his mouth and breaking his teeth! You resist the urge to say something like "chew on that" or "Dinner is served".

Approaching the creature is harder than you thought. You try to zero in on his leg, but he angles a vicious backhand to ward you away. You wisely duck rather than take the blow.

Lone Wanderer uses the distraction provided by Sheltering Leaves to to spend a few seconds concentrating. He sees the slightest fracture in the Gourgaz's left arm scales, caused by the shrapnel attack from Silent Fox. Even the strongest armor is useless against indirect force...He concentrates on it and jabs his glaive in deep, tearing through the spaces between the scale and slicing deep into the soft issue underneath. Smoking green blood pours forth from the wound! The creature goes mad, clutching his wound uselessly-he won't be able to stop the bleeding now. Lone Wanderer tries to pull his weapon free, but it won't budge! He manges to hold onto it, but it's taken all his strength not to be thrown loose.

Another rock bonks the creature in the head-ignoring the blades and earth attacks connecting with it, the Gourgaz looks around for the source of this minor irritant!
With it distracted now, you are about to go in for another strong attack when Lone Wanderer embeds his Glaive in the Gorugaz's flesh! It absently mindedly swings it's chain toward your legs...

...and entangles you! The thick iron chain wraps around your torso, picks you up effortlessly, and sends you flying, braining you into a nearby tree! Everything goes dark...the ground is looking awfully soft right now. Maybe you should take a nap?
The Gourgaz is bleeding steadily from a large wound in his left arm-Lone Wanders glaive is embedded in it, and Lone Wanderer himself is hanging on and trying to yank it out. The creaures torso has been scarred with glaive and earth magic buckshot, but seems to be moderately damaged. He's got an arrow embedded in upper right chest, but it's merely stuck harmlessly in the hide. He's going a bit slower on his left leg where Sheltering Leaves kick connected. His right arm is scratched, but mostly undamaged. His face is half gone from the rock attack, and it's also bleeding. Also, he's gone berzerk. Like, crazy mad!

The Gourgaz ignores it's near fatal wounds, and everyone but Sheltering Leaves, and begins swinging it's chain one handed and advancing toward him with an evil grin on whats left of its shattered face. The effect is...disturbing.
