Added list of players so far. So, what website should we host screenshots on? Other LPs seem to have their screenies taken down during play, dont want that to happen

Finally ran the save. I was sure I did run it at least once and was right. Somehow it had been damaged. Downloaded it once again and is running fine. I'm using Phobeus graphics 31.25v06.

For the images hosting issue I'm proposing a http://imageshack.us Didn't have problem with it, to be sure you can get account on it on some fake eamil. It's free though.

If imageshack isn't good enough, here is the list of other possibilites

@HugoLuman
About an embarking site, I think I'd found a volcano at lake.... exactly three of them. Which one did you mean exactly?
First:

Second:

or third:

Shame you can't emabrk on first location. Looks preety hardcore :P I bet you mean second.

Another thing, I tried to make some reconnaissance in Adventurer mode and write some story about it. But this map is soooooo big, that it kills my computer. Anyway I'd watched site and find it pretty interesting. Maybe go to my friend, which have Quad Core Computer and try adventure.

Yeah, the second is what I meant. Still, gotta be careful. Volcano in grassland. One wrong move = multi-level grassfire. Sounds Fun :D

I think we should go with image shack. It's something most people have heard of.

At the foot of The Mucous Flame, on the shore of the Lake of Trust, then. All agreed?

Also, 4x4 or 5x5?

if the matter is one dwarf, i'd suggest myself for dwarfing as the last remaining one. I'm not concerned about gender or profession although it would be preferred if he's military. Also bear in mind that he's a latent trotskyst!

I am a Military maker. I don't use Danger Rooms and I build pretty well, so Mason for me. Male if possible. Forum Name will do...

Well,

It took me a while but I hope I'm on time. I had written this little story, take it as an introduction. Hope You'll find some fun in it :)

Sorry for PDF format, but hadn't time to convert it on forum.

http://hotfile.com/dl/119570095/11afd9a/my_story.pdf.html

BTW, I want my dwarf to be a Miner at first, maybe 1 point on masonry. And I want to baptize dwarf as "Cipka". Gender has no matter for me :)

Can't wait for first post from fortress :)

Hilarious! But our group is the first communists. Everyone else is feudal. Then again, the diary can be a secret, that one of the dwarves gives to provide a site.

Also, I haven't had a chance to test the pheonixes. Are they as vicious as the story makes them out to be? If so, then we're in for some FUN

I thought that communist is well spread in dwarfs world, but that way may be even more fun :)

And I can't tell yet if Phoenixes are vicious. But those badasses like to burn grass a lot ;) That's for sure.

We the dwarves are an industrious race, good craftsmen who work hard but happily and reap the bounty of our labors.

That's what the other races think, anyway. But in our society, the few prosper in luxury whilest the many who work to sustain them live wretchedly. Our nobility, like leeches, feeds off the blood of the worker, giving nothing back. They are all corrupt, right up to the King, with their mandates and demands for extravagant and wasteful things. Those who protest are subjected to the brutal hammering of what pretends to be law. But no more I say!

These leeches shall be cast down from their thrones and squashed! I will make a paradise, a perfect place where everyone works for the good of the community, and everyone shares in the fruits of combined labor! It shall be the workers' paradise! All the workers will come to us, and without them the useless nobles will wither! Through hard work we will have perfection for all!

With my good words, I have found 6 loyal comrades to help me achieve this. Here are the dwarf comrades who will help me:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
A good miner and stonewright. His skill and work shall help delve a hall worthy of the honorable worker, and his crafts shall facilitate culture and trade. He also has experience in mechanics But most importantly, he has shown me the diary of his great-great-grandfather, who quested out and discovered a marvelous place for any dwarf. No one has heard this secret place since it was found, so it will be untouched by Noblist poison! Here shall the perfect place be made

Frigidwolf
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
A fine farmer, gardener, cook, and most importantly a skilled brewer. His efforts will keep us alive and fed!

Nevyn
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Another miner, and an excellent stonewright. She is more skilled in mining and masonry than even Kulpamens, and I have seen her slay many a bear with her pick.

Nanomage
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Was once an axeman in the army, but now does woodcutting and carpentry. Still handy with an axe, though. He seems strangely aloof from the other comrades, but this does not bother me.

Lafiel
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
A weathered fisherman. Not many in the Mountainhome appreciate her talents, but she will be of great use to us in increasing food supply.

NRDL
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Another farmer and a very good cook. And an all-around dependable comrade.

To be a great leader, I must assess my strengths and weaknesses objectively. To achieve objectivity I evaluated myself in 3rd person:

We shall be the first of Anilsemor, The Glorious Union!

We have reached our new home! I shall call it Cuborator, or "Workerperfect." It is a glorious place! A large, placid lake stretches out from the base of a volcano, past which flow 2 streams. To the east there is bare rock and exposed veins of wondrous ore, and to the west there are lush green grazelands for our Llamas. Truly only greatness can arise here!
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Comrades, here begins the liberation of our nation, The Brave Cudgel! Long live the revolution! STRIKE THE EARTH!

Sorry to say that I may not do much this weekend, as I have finals to work on. But I'll do my best
