That looks more like a mutated shark, not an alien. Plus that area has an aquarium with sharks.

I really don't see why you aren't allowed to have a world where marines train on mutant robot sharks.

In fact, it makes for a good training benchmark.

The target range subgame was nice. It actually sort of suggested the game might be relatively realistic, with the targets having highlights at the heart and head. I got SWAT 4 vibes from it.

The droid shooter subgame pretty much threw all of that out the window though. Shoot stupid shit melee-based enemies that just run at you and are inanely durable.

And considering the whole mutant shark previews, it's probably leaning towards the droid shooter end of the spectrum. I don't get the appeal of shooting overly-durable mutants that just charge at you. It's a fucking shark. You shoot it in the noggin and it's dead. Shoot it anywhere else and it'll run off like a little bitch assuming it's still alive.

I just don't see anything special about this. Maybe they'll do something interesting with the sentient aliens, but I won't hold my breath.

Looks good, sounds decent, but...

Really? Another space marine game? I got tired of those a while ago.

I say this is worth supporting for what it represents, even if you're not too impressed with what it is.

I dunno.  I like the idea of indie developers being able to make AAA games on an Indie budget, but not if they're going to make generic ass games.  "Interstellar Marines?"  I hope that's a working title.  Independent developers are supposed to be breaking new ground, but all I ever see (Aside from the occasional Dorf Fort) is tower Defense, DotA-likes, and Look Guys A Mario Game.

As others said, it appears to be a generic shooter with photos of space slapped on the window. Not going to bother unless they make it somewhat original. Good job digging that out though.

"AAA Indie"

Not sure how I feel about that idea, and the claim that the devs want to change the game industry seems either naive or sales pitchy

Screens look sharp though

Having looked over their media:
I think for the most part it looks unimpressive simply because they seem to be working on the game instead of constantly blogging about their awesome ideas.

The game would gain +100% Win if it let you play as the mutated landshark.
