Hey do what the German commander did at the Battle of Kursk. Paint the Iron Cross on it, then cover it up. then move away, they wont care, heck in Real life they had German Tigers behind the head tank, fooled the Ruskies.

We follow at a distance then wait for a heavy tank, an Is2 or t-34/85 to leave the group then capture that one instead

We already have a T-34

We pull in behind the group of tanks and follow them for a while. The column leads to the river, where the tanks spread out and begin to fire at a large fortified area across the water.

We remember that this is one of the last held areas of Stalingrad, the German HQ for the Battle.

It begins to snow, the water is icy and large crab-like things can be seen lurking at the edges.

We have t34:76 not an 85 and pull back and get outta the tank behind the Russians

How many tanks are there in the group?
If less than 15, open fire.

Do we have any explosives, or bombs?

We have shells, we could jury rig a small explosive from that, put it in the engin, blow it up and then use our tank's destruction to run away.

Through some initial, and wildly unknown, searching for explosives, we find 5 shells.

There about 20 tanks in the group, they are all firing upon the Fortress, by the look of things the Germans are returning fire with a Anti-Tank rifle

Can we rig them for a big explosion? And are they ap or he ?

sticky bombs! take out five then hid until you get a time to cross, also radio the Germans to give you some cover fire.
(also woundnt it be an anti tank rifle? just saying)

How many grenades we got? We could open up the hatches on the tanks, throw a rigged tank shell or nade in, it doesn't sound like they got infantry support. Or much ammo considering we only have 5 rounds.
