Ask for a hammer and some nails to fix the cart outside.
"What cart?" the merchant asked. The thing probably didn't belong to him. Most likely it was abandoned awhile ago and no one had bothered to claim it because they didn't want to fix it up. While Taric was thinking about it, Enriqe came in and haggled a discount on a machete. It looked like he had 25 chips left over, which would be enough for a hammer, if he could convince the man to loan him the cash.
Kill time.
Rebecca drug Tarran off to go kill a few hours. Why not, right? (2/7) Afterwards, she handed him the revolver, saying she didn't like guns. Tarran took it and the ammo, and they headed back to the merchants. They caught them just as they were leaving the building and followed the men to the wagon train. Both boarded a wagon, Rebecca the one in front and Tarran the one in back for safety reasons. (Int: 3) Rebecca saw some Ebolon in the distance and pointed them out. The wagon train stopped long enough for the animals to go back into the woods, and they continued onward.
Aye aye il accept the job with pleasure! Try to forge a knife while asking some handy tips from the more experienced man
(Cha: 3, failure) Lawrence shook his head. "I ain't never been much of a teacher," he said, although his tone was kindly. "Way I see it you either feel the metal or ya don't." Marion nodded and went to work on the knife; there was already a wooden handle available, he just had to make the blade and fit it. (Int: 1, overshoot) Why use the wooden handle? He had a burst of inspiration, and he was going to try it out. After forming the blade, he made a hollow metal square that broke apart down the middle and attached pivots to both the blade and handles so the handles could be closed to hide it, or flicked open to reveal it in a hurry. (Marion invents: Balisong Knife!) He flicked it open and closed a few times, then handed it to Lawrence.
The blacksmith immediately turned from his work to inspect the new weapon. "That's brilliant, lad!" He turned it over in his hands, manipulating it this way and that to see exactly how it was constructed. "I think the client will be more than pleased with this." He wrote down a few notes on a parchment, presumably the design so he could replicate it. Marion did the same with his PDA so he wouldn't forget. "Here. A little extra. It's a rare treat to see something new." He passed Marion a 100 chip and a 50 chip.
(Balisong Knives can now be bought at the blacksmith in Rivergate.)

Enriqe walked into the tool shop where Taric was trying to get a hammer and nails. He asked about machetes and discovered they cost 100 chips. (Cha: 2) But Enriqe being Enriqe, he was able to talk the merchant into a... (5% per number on 1d6: 5) 25% discount. He handed over the 100 chip and got a 25 one in return, along with the machete. (Enriqe now has another machete! It's just like his old one. o.o)
Kill time.
(No need for a roll since Dwarmin passed) Tarran kept an eye on the Ebolon as they passed the spot the animals had been grazing at. None turned around, so the assassin eventually turned his eyes forward once more and kept a watch.
May decided to tell the others. "Come on, let's tell everyone else about this, it could be useful as a place to live, etc."
May went to find everyone, letting Ilyana search on her own as well. Eventually she found herself at the blacksmith, where she ran into Marion. She told him about the ship she had found! Ilyana, meanwhile, stumbled upon Taric and Enriqe at the tool shop. She informed them, too, of the area, and suggested they stay there for the moment.
