Also, drat. Powder Miner was on an half hour ago and didn't put an action.  ::)

What sort of minions? Little Metal Gear Mk. IIs? You'd need a lot of parts for that...

You'd need moar parts for even one Geth-type thing, and even then you'd have to learn some advanced programming knowledge. o.O Or find an appropriate data core, but that's unlikely, since even on an overshoot that kind of item is going to be rare. Like rarer than ammo rare. :3

Minions? If we can't make a robot, what about...sentient flying boxing gloves...with wings!

Quote from: Taricus / Taric Al-Sayyid: 34
Laugh at Marion, then ask for some tools to fix the cart.
Taric felt like laughing at someone for failing, but he didn't know who. He was sure someone at the docks had failed, but he was at the outskirts. :-\ For now, he had to find tools for his toolbox! He went to the market and looked around. Eventually he found someone selling such things: a merchant in a small wooden building with an armed guard at the entrance. Apparently he sold nothing but tools.

SHOP LIST Examples (Basically if it's on this page, you can ask about it.)
Claw Hammer - 25 chips
Nails - 10 chips per pack
Drilling Hammer - 25 chips
Splitting Maul - 100 chips
Hacksaw - 50 chips
Bolt Cutters - 25 chips
Brace (hand drill) - 25 chips

Unfortunately Taric didn't have any money for anything, but he could always ask about what he was interested in.

Quote from: Dwarmin / Rebecca White: 95
Accept job; get started
Tarran asked about the danger. One of the merchants folded his hands on the table. "We'd be pretty stupid not to expect at least a few highwaymen. Then there's the Zira, although they're really only a danger in the fall when they migrate from the jungle to the desert. Sometimes there's Ebolon along the route, those bastard things are quick to attack without provocation. Hentach, always a nuisance. The usual, hopefully nothing you can't handle with that heater." He gestured at the revolver Rebecca had, but didn't question it.

Rebecca slapped Tarran on the back, causing him to stumble a step forward, and accepted the job, apparently taking it is a given he was accepting too. "We leave in a few hours." (Cha rolls: 3, 6. Somehow Rebecca nailed two in a row. :3) "You look like you have an honest face, and this'll help you help us." The merchant took something out of his pocket and passed it over. "All I got for that thing. Hopefully it'll do us some good." (Rebecca gets: 6 Revolver bullets!)

Quote from: Jetsquirrel / Marion Chris Hibaru: 42
Find a metal shop and offer some services
Disappointed, Marion left to find something else he could do. After a bit of searching he found a blacksmith and offered his services. The man, large with buzzed dark hair, introduced himself to Marion as Lawrence and said if he wanted to get a job here he'd have to prove himself. There was a need for rings; if he could forge one meeting Lawrence's standards he could get some chips. Marion accepted! (Int+1 Metallurgy: 5, success) This was within his area of knowledge, and Marion focused on his work. In seemingly no time at all he had produced a slightly above-average quality iron ring! "Not bad. That's worth... 25 chips," he said, exchanging the ring for a blue chip with 25 on it. "How about it? Want some real work?" he offered. "I need a knife in a hurry. If you can make one I'll give you 100 chips." (Marion gets: 25 chips!)

Quote from: Riccto / Enriqe Halonz: 63
Go to some type of market and see what I can buy with my new pay
Enriqe wandered off to the market and looked at all the goods. What was he in the mood for, specifically? Food, weaponry, armor, trinkets, tools, illicit goods, books, clothes...?

Quote from: Tarran / Tarran Bris: Same as Dwarmin
Accept job; get started

(See Dwarmin's entry)

Quote from: Powder Miner / May Powlin: 72
Be Auto'd 1/3
May put away her sword and headed into town with Ilyana. It seemed like it would be a good idea to try and secure lodgings for their group, so they went searching for an abandoned building. (Int: 3, 2, both succeed well) Searching around the outskirts specifically, the girls came across a hatch mostly buried in the dirt and cleared it off. Between the two of them, they managed to open it and peer inside. Apparently it was the crew section of an old-Earth ship! A ladder led down into it, and they descended and searched around. There was a door fore and aft, and another hatch leading downwards. The fore/northern door opened, but the room beyond was totaled beyond all repair. The aft/southern door opened as well, onto what appeared to be a kitchen. Like the crew room though, it was completely stripped of anything that might have been useful.

The remaining hatch led down into a storage area. It was completely empty save for the bones of a few mice that had undoubtedly starved to death long ago, and they crumbled at the touch. This would be a sufficient place for the group to live in and store every thing, once they got some real furniture and things.

Also, the lore post/third post has been updated with some of this stuff.
