@Taricus: But how often will trade come in? It has not been established when the caravans from our Empire will arrive to trade. It may be months, years, hell, maybe even a decade if things do not go well for that voyage. We will be mostly relant on the resources we have here, otherwise whats the point of farming and wood chopping if we get that stuff on a weekly basis?

I do not think the primitive native tribes are advanced enough to mine for any metal that isn't directly on the surface.

Mountains and Hill normally have such surface depos, perhaps you could walk u-, oh wait. Somebodies already there.

Cript has access to metals Via trade to the outside world, Heck Im think his stance on free trade will hurt him due to the fact he won't collect tariffs and such on the goods.
