A very angry dwarf wielding an artifact Polonium war hammer. It's so radioactive that a single strike mutates anything it hits into an Eldritch horror instantly.

...And, come to think of it, that's probably how we get FBs.

Should you fail to comply, strict !!disciplinary actions!! will be taken. Also, we feel we should remind you that one of the "criminals" on your list is the chief medical dwarf. If he ends up too badly injured to do his job, you will be fired. Out of a magma cannon.

Ever tried to access an array using a /negative/ index? Yes. That's what lurks below HFS. The land of segmentation faults, memory corruptions and weird wrap-arounds in game geometry :P

So it's like the Warp from Warhammer 40k? An endless plane of nonexistence and change, of corruption and madness?

This is Dwarf Fortress. Where torture, enslavement, and murder are not only tolerable hobbies, but considered dwarfdatory.

Someone should mod diggable slade, dig a pit on it, force caged enemies onto a bridge going over it (retractable), and whenever you want to execute, just drop them aaaaallllllllll the way down from the top. Or a huge tower ontop of the pit that has the bridge. Infinite fall into the void. Heck, you could have so much fun with the void. MAke itm your new anti-refuse thing. Like chasms, except less dangerous. Make sacrifices to armok by building entire buildings of whatever the heck, filling them with caged enemies, and then pulling a lever which breaks a support or something, which then drops the entire building at once with all the caged things into the void.

That's easy, actually. All you gotta do is remove the [NOT_DIGGABLE] tag. (Might be [UNDIGGABLE], haven't messed with stone enough to memorize)

Bonus points if you use the floating trap glitch to have mauled corpses sent to Armok.

What's under the slade?
Now that's easy.

The bottom of your computer.

Few know the horrible TRUE origin of "inspiration" that Toady had which resulted in Dwarf Fortress being made and even fewer have survived to see what happens when the feeble barrier between our world and theirs is broken.

...And so the beard was brought into the human world, bringing great booze forth! All peace was solved, and tree huggers were banished from the plane forevermore.

Then the !!SCIENCE!!ists discovered space flight, allowing other worlds to be mined. Soon the whole galaxy was dwarfed, and the universes were then traveled again.

...and everyone lived drunkenly ever after.

Big picture is big.

And yay, more Portal references. Fun.

Below Hell? The world is a circle, you see. The highest Z-level and the lowest Z-level are one and the same. But Demons are lighter than air, which is why they do not fall from the sky. It is the glow of their demonic fires which lights the world from above.

What's wrong with using magma? That's almost always the easiest method.
I have issues channeling it properly to do that method. I end up flooding the fortress with magma.

I'd say below the HFS you mine through the core of the world, then upwards into another fortress, where someone pulls a lever and fills your fortress with magma. Game over.

It's the hidden multiplayer feature. All df worlds are connected to Toady's server by the bottommost z-level.
