I drink waaayyy too much coffee. As a kid, I was big into tea and could never get into coffee. Once I graduated high school and started going to work at 8am, where you can't sleep for an extra hour until you wake up, I learned to drink coffee. Then I learned to love it. Now I think I'm starting to learn to hate it.

Well, ok, not hate, but I need to cut back. I like mine stronger than normal so it doesn't turn into cream-flavored nasty after a slash of half and half.
When there's a new game out (like Terraria.....) my coffee pot gets like twice the use too. I think I've been through 2 Mr. Coffees at least in the last 4 years. It's to the point now I do what professional drinkers do: I make myself drink a large glass of water or two after every pot. You don't realize until it's way too late how dehydrated you get.

I try to get whole bean when I can, because Folgers and most commercial brands are shit. It's pretty appalling here in the midwest though. People here are obsessed with flavored coffees, and they'll soak beans in flavored oils before putting them up for sale in the grocery stores. All the quality gourmet beans are bumped out for shit like "Butternut Scotch" and "Maui Wowi". You walk into the coffee aisle and it's like they mopped the floors with Hazelnut oil. Blech.

I use strainers like in Askot's post, but I buy mine local too. Well, not VERY local. I get it from Teavana at the mall. I think they do orders online, and they've got some quality stuff.

English supermarkets sell a lot of teabags. Mostly Twinings, due to their huge range of teas. Couple of other brands, but they're all fairly standard stuff, English Breakfasts with the occasional Earl Grey.

I get my teabags from the supermarket across the street.

As one might expect from a US Southerner (Quick, make redneck jokes before it's too late! Go! Go! Go!), I greatly enjoy Sweet Tea, but I'm a fan of Green Tea as well. Coffee, on the other hand, is not my...cup of tea, I guess. Everyone around here seems to be a Starbucks addict but me, now that I think about it.

Both, I typically drink coffee in the morning and tea midday. I'm really not bothered by coffee's bitter taste, and I have trouble understanding why people DON'T drink coffee.

Nope, image is fine for me.

It appears to be some magical tea-making device... I've never seen the likes of it before.

From the looks of it, you put some herbs in the mesh, and dip it into the water over and over...

I'm most likely wrong.

Why "dip it over and over"? You don't do that with tea bags. It's just a mesh ball you put tea leaves in (you got that part right) and let it steep.
