How long should I give mudcrab to respond? I'm thinking another 24 hours.

if i may i'd like to bump up with a short basic list of what kobolds can't do so that it all makes more sence for anyone reading ut.
1. As already mentioned, they can't dig stone. They only can dig soils, native metals, gems, obsidian and chert (i think because it is regarded as flint).
2. kobolds can't forge metals. They can somehow "shape&craft" native metal nuggets cold however. They can only make metal weapons from copper.
3. kobolds can't make ceramics and can't use kilns at all for any other task than "collect clay"
4. kobolds can't make armor for lower arms and hands.
5. kobolds can't eat anything that's not, at least partially, meat.
there are other differences as well but i think these are the most important and the most confining

I think i've stuck to those for the most part. We have been eating some berries thought I think.

Actually, kobolds should be unable to eat berries.

Welp, looks like Mudcrab wasn't up to snuff. Hasn't even checked the forums since his last post. Shall we move on?

No worries. Real life is more important.

I've made some progress and hopefully I can get through most of the year tonight when I don't have work.

Have we all been killed by goblins/humans/elves/dwarves yet?

I hope not! Especially dwarves, 'cause that would ruin my idea...

strangely, i never saw dwarves or humans attack little cutebolds, for me it's always goblins and elves who come trying to eat you alive.
Makes me think they're more similar to each other than they want us to believe.
However, it's maybe because a played with little popcaps and never got a proper siege.

I drew a picture of my glorious rise to power.

I'm working on the military so hopefully we'll be ready when they come.

Journal of Mcguiny

Granite

Well it looks like the council has named me the new leader.

I must spend way too much time outside. When I went inside to see how stuff was set up, everything was so confusing.  I think I'll keep fishing outside where things make sense.

The shaman MonkeyHead came wading out and handed me a bunch of lists and diagrams of the camp. She seems very determined to not go against what the council wants. I don't think I should disagree with her.

Well after looking at the diagrams and stuff, it isn't quite so bad. We need a few actual rooms and I think we can move some of the workshops to more sensible places.

the military isn't set up yet and our big wall is only half done. It shouldn't be too difficult to  make these right. I think some of the newcomeres said they had fighting skills so we can have them train the strongest ones here, MonkeyHead  and Svarte. I think I'll give those two the armor at least till we have enough for everybody. We have one Marksbold too so I'm gonna tell Monkeyhead we need bolts and crossbows. She manages the workshops so I can have some time to fish.

Slate

Wow a lot of migrants got here this month. 17 if you trust my counting skills.

...I'm hearing voices.

They want me to make something.

The voices won't go away.

I don't think we have the materials... No. But I think the others can figure something out. They always do. Well they do sometimes at least.

Oh, did I mention I got caught up in a new romance with Spish the jeweler! I bet he's going to be mad I put this in my log.

Felsite

Lots of people complained about the miasma from the butcher shop. I guess all of the places to put the rotten parts were full. I told everyone to put refuse in another spot on the surface.

A caravan from Leenkis came today.

We got some metal armor and some other things we can't get on our own. I need to get more stuff to trade because we hardly got anything.
