Last time I opened a bay12 server ~3 people rushed to endgame overnight and within 2 weeks nobody logged in any more

Sad but true. Multiplayer in a progression-based game like Terraria is best done with in a small group with dedicated play sessions, so that everyone starts on an even keel and plays together.

I don't even know if I can wrap my head around playing terraria without magic storage at an absolute minimum, anymore. Which is apparently buggy in MP and probably would take time to get working with the new update anyway

Terraria multiplayer was good times. Good frigging times.

But yeah, there's always some wankers who just go rush all the chests, bring in outside items, and endgame everything instantly.

Well we could enforce a server only items(which I think either there is a server option or a mod that enables that) with scheduled play sessions to prevent blitzing content.

You must also tut quietly under your breath while shaking your head.  If you're really mad you can mutter "Well I never..."

... I do recall excavating a desert in one bay 12 MP game. Turned it into a greenhouse, iirc. Then something about a jungle house and stealing someone's nothing. Still got a screenshot of that last one somewhere or another. Stole their nothing and left a sign, too.
