I've decided to abuse the holiday spirit.  I dug down into deep corruption, a fair distance from my main base, and started hollowing it out.  Then started planting massive ice walls over the backdrop.  Right now it's very small, I'd probably fight Eater of Worlds down here but that's because I've got an assault riffle and a stock of crystal.  I'll be extending it to proper DF cavern size and walling the whole thing over the back, then erecting a few candycane decorations and buildings once it's massive enough to support it.

Will flying bosses come underground if there's enough room?

Flying bosses don't care where you are at all. In my own little server I ran with friends, by the time we got to hardmode I started summoning normal mode eyes as a laugh in the caves.

Ha, great!  Time to make a massive bossing arena in deep corruption then!  Likely another one in deep hallow, for teh soulz.

Yeah, still not sure what to do with those.  I've already got plenty nights.  I wish you could like, use them as ammo for the star cannon or something.

Or maybe Wave-motion Starcannon ammo?

That's what I was implying, except that there seems to be enough bullet types, while only one star cannon type.  There's also hardmode arrows to an extent, but no upgraded star cannon ammo!

Ha! With this small piece of string, I shall device a stealth bow, that is smaller and more easily hidden than it's larger field counterparts! And with my new advanced stealth weaponry, I shall be neigh unstoppable!
