I found out that souls can be gained from the monsters that spawn in hell (Demons & Bats). Much easier to kill them than it is to kill the damn illuminant bats & chaos elementals.

Yeah. It's most effective in a small world, where hell is a bit narrower, and the first houses are closer to the ceiling.

Alternatively, just place 50 meteorites in the underground hallow/corruption, and you can continue farming for them with much weaker enemies.

And on a side note, goblin tinkerer is totally ripping me off. It's like, "HELLO THERE DURNOK, HERE'S 40 GOLD FOR YOU TO REFORGE MY MEGASHARK", and then he's like, "OH THANKS MAN LET ME RUIN THAT MEGASHARK FOR YOU" and then replaces "agile" with "broken". What a dick.
Better than the Shotgun with a base 50 reforge cost.

As for my personal opinion on that matter...

You just got a legendary piece of s**t. It would have been better if it was a spear, but no, it had to be a wooden sword.

It's very well made.

I also have recently upgraded all my weapons to their best respective enhancements, i.e. Legendary, Unreal and Mythical for all but the Hamdrax (Godly) and the Light Discs(no enhancements possible).

I dunno, I just crafted it. As I haven't played this game for eons I just assumed weapons leveled up now. But my copper sword didn't so I asked it here :P

King slime can be beaten with any weapon, if you block it's movement. Take someone who has noclip on the other hand...

Any weapon/accessory on creation now has a chance to have a random attribute applied to it. This also applies to found and purchased weapons. The other way to get attributes is to reforge the item at the tinkerer.

Has anyone tried to completely cleanse the world of corruption and/or hallow ? or, to get 100% hallow or 100% corruption ? I wonder if something happens when you do that, since the dryad has a corrupt/hallow-meter and asks you to remove the corrution.

I took a glance at the disassembled code.

tEvil is computed by dividing totalEvil (presumably the number of corrupt blocks) into totalSolid (presumably the number of all non-air blocks), and multiplying by 100, making it a percent.  The division is done with floating point, but it is then truncated rounded into an integer.

tGood is computed the same way.  This means that tGood is 0 before entering hardmode.

If tEvil < tGood, you're told " Keep up the good work!"

If tEvil > tGood, and tEvil > 20, you're told " Things are grim indeed."

Otherwise you're told " You should try harder."

So yeah, if you get corruption to 0% pre-wall, you're still told to try harder.
