It was me, and the wall of flesh. I was down to 100 HP, but pots were gonna come off cooldown soon. The wall was down to 1500 HP. I had plenty of ammo and thought it was a sure victory.

And then I flew too high with my specter boots and fell to my 150 damage death.

Looks like I should get a lucky horseshoe before I try that again.

Started hard mode and got myself a full set of cobalt armour.

Hard mode is truly a step up from regular. I would go kill the Wall again a couple of times to get a Clockwork Assault Rifle, if I could actually reach hell. I didnt make a proper hellevator so its going through corrupted caves all the way down. The only reason I am doing as well as I am, is my trusty Phoenix Blaster.

Hurgh. Need more statues. Healy statues. Not crabbed statues. Nasty crabbed statues.

 Better than statues with no effect. I don't even know what a pillar statue would do.

 Also note that each tile of a statue has a separate cooldown, so if you wire it right the 10-second cooldown statues can emit like six of their thing every ten seconds.

now if you want the rest of the drops, stand at the base of WoF and shoot upwards with meteor shot and hit the wall multiple times.

Water does lots of weird stuff. I'm a bit behind in playing 1.1 and not being able to destroy water with sand changes things a bit.
