By the sounds of it you need to trigger it somehow.  Once you defeat it, you activate hard mode on your world.

Other than the obvious stuff, I'm digging some of the new music. They need to spend some of the millions they made and hire Infected Mushroom to do some tracks.

And if anyone is wondering how they're making content so fast......honestly. How fast would you work if your initial offering made you $3 million or so dollars and the future only looked brighter? I think we're so used to watching devs get bogged down in their dreams that we forget what it's like to see someone soar.

It's kind of weird when you think that, if they'd waited most of the year to release instead of like mid-year like they did...Terraria 1.0 would look like this.

That would be crazy awesome.  Infected Mushroom would be so perfect for this kind of thing.

The design stuff has reached the point where it will keep people who like it busy for months. The pumps, the binary switches, moving walls.....

I'll be surprised if someone doesn't create a binary computer that operates on fluid.
