I heard the war horns even from under the ground, echoing off the stone and dirt. Time was short and climbing way back up woukd take to long before the goblin army reached the base. I was not about to let those snot colored jerks slaughter my home. With a whisk of the magic mirror I return to the fortress and armed myself, before hearing the horns again, now much, much closer. I raced to the battlements to see the goblin army in full,  soldiers and mages marching forward as they pushed their weaker kind ahead in a wave. With sword and bravery I dove off the balcony into the fray and began to slaughter them. The battle raged through the day, the moon rising as I fought on the old bridge. But looking above I saw that this was the moon that I dread, crimson red moonlight burnt into the world around me.

And then the zombies came.

So apperantly it's possible to have a blood moon during a goblin invasion. Though unlike the fluff above, the zombies waited until after I though off the goblins before showing up. Which is kinda sad, I really wanted to see the two prong fight.

The zombies should attack the gobbos. Hmm. Imagine someone holding a water candle while you fight.

He was totally hardcore.

His house was large and unfinished, made of wood.
The dryad, clothier, and arms dealer had not yet arrived.
He grew daybloom, blinkroot, waterleaf, and only just planted deathweed.
He found glowing mushrooms! and even a seed.
He wore a mining helmet, a bucket, gold armour, and silver greaves.
His hellevator streched to the third layer of the underground
He owned a hookshot.
He traveled beyond corruption, on foot.

Then died to the Eye Of Cthulu
His lack of a flat battlefield caused his death.
He forgot to use his magic mirror while running in fear at 5hp.
He was just short of a greater healing potion.

He unlocked no chests.
He found one floating island
He defeated no bosses.
He saw no lava.

The name was supposed to be a word for careful, but I couldn't remember any synonyms starting with p.



Is anybody else playing on hardcore mode?

Prudent (Prudence -- bonus, this is actually a thing people are named) would probably work.

I did do a hardcore one once. Forget how it ended up, other than dead after excavating a fairly large catacomb/cave-type area underneath the house-thing I constructed.

Isn't it funny when you unequip the horseshoe, forget you did and then leap down a hellevator?

In other hellevator related stories I decided to christen my first hellevator by throwing a vodoo doll down it. It took so long to get to the magma I thought it had failed to get down- perhaps a ledge or physics of off screen objects being different, but then the guide exploded.
