I haven't even noticed my keys before...

What's the best way to farm 'em?

Stand in the dungeon with muramasa, weigh down your mouse and go sleep overnight.

Stand in the dungeon with muramasa, weigh down your mouse and go sleep overnight.

Enjoy blazing wheels rushing through you and cursed skulls killing you from behind/below :P Oh, oh, don't forget that 4 or 5 Bones will actually crowd-push through your swings and hit you.

All dungeon enemies drop keys, it's just tiny chance. Pots might contain keys, and dungeon slimes are key-droppers.

A 'normal' wooden chest is a guaranteed 1 golden key + some cheap loot.

That's all I learned on my dungeon trip~~

From my experience, it's easy to get more keys than you need. I think they are only there so that people cannot just run past everything and rush through, but common enough that you get more than enough just by taking the time to kill enemies as you explore.

Basically, to stop people from diving in before they'd beat Skeletron :V

Huh, that does make sense actually. I'd considered that was the point earlier but I somehow missed the fact that killing things while a giant skeleton god is trying to kill you tends to prove a bit more difficult then usual.

I don't think skeletron is a god.

Ok, now to make an obsidian generator!

EDIT:  Out of curiosity, can they be too big? And what's the biggest ever made?

I'm not sure what "too big" means here, all you're really doing is making 2 tanks, connect them with a tunnel, and mine the result. The only difference between 50 liquid blocks and 50,000 is the size of the tank and your dedication to filling it.

Oh, ok. So far it's 100 wide and between 300-400 high. I ran out of stone halfway, because I don't want to make it out of gold or hellstone or obsidian or silver or glass.

Can't you add more splitters to make it fill faster or was that fixed?

They stop having an effect after about 5 of them, I think.
Also, I recommend you use glass for the part where the obsidian actually forms so that you don't accidentally break the container.

I might as well ask this here, since I refuse to register at terraria online and steam is useless...

Can anyone tell me why no NPC's are moving into the 3 non-pub rooms here? They've been up for several in-game days, should be perfectly livable, and the workshop already attracted the demoman, but he wouldn't go back in after he showed up and claimed it for a day.

I think you have to have walls in between the tables and chairs, otherwise they'll just get recognized as one big room. IF you're talking about the room on the bottom, that is...

Ah, sorry I was too vague. The shack at the top with the dryad works, and the bar got the nurse to show up. The other 3 rooms just won't get occupants, even after I completely demolished all the other housing. Everyone wandered around outside during a bloodmoon, and the DF player in me said it's their own faults for being idiots so I let them die.

The guide moved into a barely furnished room offscreen, but no one else is showing up. To be clear, I've had the merchant and arms dealer for some time, they just won't move into those empty rooms in the pic.

If they already have rooms, then you'll have to go into their rooms and trash them. That way they might run down to the other rooms.
