Aglets are those things on the ends of shoelaces, I think. They're a 5% speed bonus.

Anyone got a reasonable way to plant seeds and harvest them? This whole "put down a pot, put a seed in it, break the pot, reclaim the herb" is totally awkward and not worth the effort just for potions.

Can't you just smack the plant to get it without breaking the pot itself?

Or does that only work for decorative plants that grow automatically in pots?

They've changed something, because decorative pot flowers used to be slashable. They aren't any longer. So neither are the herbs you planted that grow in them.

Something tells me Alchemy got pushed out a little sooner than it was ready, or at least the support mechanisms for alchemy.

Take out your pick and then whack the plant. It should kill the plant and not the pot too.
Are pots even needed? You can just get dirt or whatever and plant the seeds on those...

I think the only thing uniform of the plants is they don't grow on the same material.
Dayblooms= Grass
Deathweed= Corruption/Ebonstone
Moon[something]= Jungle
Blinkweed= Raw dirt
Waterleaf= Sand
Fireblossom= Ash.

 cavebat + copper shortsword = lots of gravestones

Why do you start with a copper shortsword anyway? The wooden sword deals more damage and is able to hit enemies.

No you can't. If you plant Daybloom in grass, you place it but it never grows. If you cut the placed sprout, you get nothing back.

Same here. Shortswords are too impractical to use in various combat situations.

They're also probably the best weapon for taking on zombies early game, as you can just shank them away from you.

The new update finally brought me back to Terraria. I made a hardcore character, went for a little exploring, and- hey, that grass sure is a weird color. And what's that thing flying arOH MY GOD UNDERGROUND JUNGLE RUN RUN

The ground is now littered with tombstones around there. But I found a spear, that was nice.

It appears that deathweed grows on or near ebonstone. Hachnslay told me that the seeds only appear at blood moon, so thanks to him.
Also, how do you get waterleaf and fire blossom seeds? Those are the only ones I need now.
