I just upgraded everything. Went from meteor armor  to jungle, phaseblade to Blade of Grass, 3 feral claws, and a Chakrum. Now time to make a white and red phaseblade.

I'm in. Hell, if I can get a decent amount of shit together, I can stay back and murder things while you guys loot. I might bring some wood along too, so we can get a good base camp set up. The guide is useless and there are very few uses for the Merchant (potions and torches :\) Unless someone has an excess of Nature's Gifts, I think a nurse at spawn would be appreciated.

-There's a chest at spawn containing, among other things, weapons, 100 wood, some dirt, 2 grass seeds, and 2 acorns.
-Do not underestimate the usefulness of potions.

I will be bringing a pick and a bucket of lava to build a disposal pit before inviting people to the server, and dumping stuff from that chest that we won't need. Mostly all that wood. If its got weapons better than wooden swords, we can make use of them however.

Well to be honest the sand trap is pretty obvious, i mean, there you are dodging lava, hellstone and spikes in this very thematically built dungeon castle then suddenly in the middle of a corridor, SAND!

And it's great fun breaking some of the traps, is that lava between me and that nice chest, why, i'll just mine under it ^^

There's a merchant there before you show up. The chest contains:

1 iron broadsword
1 iron shortsword
1 iron bow
100 wooden arrows
100 musket balls
60 dirt
60 stone
100 sand
100 wood
2 grass seeds
2 acorns
12 mushrooms

And IIRC some torches. Don't get rid of it all - you'll need to make bridges. Lots of them. And you will need potions.

Actually, that doesn't seem so bad. With no picks, placements are permanent and we can't get more supplies, so we'll have to conserve what we've got... hmm, seems alright.

And it will be fun to divvy up the iron weapons. I was thinking of originally allowing iron from the getgo, but this makes it even more fun.

So I shouldn't mention the alchemy station? It doesn't really matter anyway, because there's no accessible sand.

There are potions in chests around the keep, both lesser and regular. Also, if it was hazy, the Torches and Potions comment was supposed to mean that potions and torches are the only two good things the guy sells.

Also, I have two Nature's Gifts from the keep. Not sure how many more are there.

Here's a quick list of everything useful the keep has given me so far:

Really its just the unlimited pots offered by the merchant that make for trouble. Since we've got no picks, everything else is essentially a limited resource. the more people, the more FUN from fighting over a limited supply of pots.

Heck, even if the pots were three times the price it might actually be balanced even with the merchant... hmm...
