how is Molten useless?

I don't know, they said they made it weaker. It's only use is defence, and with weaker defence I'd rather use Jungle Armor and Rocket Boots.

It honestly feels like a lot of their problems came from the fact that their entire team was composed of cats, and the people who were supposed to be herding them were also cats.

Wearing the full set still gives 27 defense. Which is pretty significant compared to 19 on the other high end sets.

What could you possible need that much defense for, is the thing?

I could see the use for near-infinite rocket boots, or infinite ammo for the space gun... but extra defense? Why? Just bring more health pots!

Unless your doing PVP, but even then...

To those who are having trouble hosting a Terraria server:

portforward.com has a guide to setting up a static IP and port forwarding. You need to forward ports 7777 and 31777, IIRC.

Hahaha, oh man.

So it appears that the meteor I got after that second shadow orb was actually the meteor for the first finally showing up.

The second one just dropped-- right above the entrance of the cave I was exploring!

My inventory is full.

It matters because different play styles. One player may prefer the extra defense because they don't like rocket boots. Another might argue that they'd rather have an infinite ammo gun than defense. And yet another may stick with shadow armor for the attack speed buff. The option to have that much defense is in case if you prefer to whack things and be whacked and shrug it off.

And on PVP, yeah you'd want it. Player weapons to a fuckton more damage than anything the game throws at you besides lava.

Yeah but counting fall damage is like counting shooting yourself in the face damage. That's why you carry a grappling hook or a horseshoe.

Or, if you have neither of those, a Cloud in a Bottle or the Rocket Boots can keep you from dying if you time it right.

I'm sad that there's no obsidian brick walls.  :'(
Or, if you have neither of those, a Cloud in a Bottle or the Rocket Boots can keep you from dying if you time it right.
This was broken in 1.0.2, as far as the Cloud goes. They may have fixed it again, not sure though.

My base, complete with guard towers, rooms for all people (except one, gotta kill off that stupid guide), a storage room, a work room, impenetrable "airlocks" (which I totally ripped from the wiki) and an area in the middle for growing a single tree. That shaft leads to...

My Shroom farm. It was recently built so the grass stuff is still growing.

Heh, just got jumped by iCthulhu on my way to the meteor. ROUND 1: FIGHT!

I've got gold armor with a silver helm, roughly two and a half stacks of health potions, and my weapon options are gold broadsword, magic boomerang, musket (131 shots), and space gun (3 mana crystals). Think I can take this?

You may have trouble with his spawns... It really depends if you can bring him halfway.

That is the odd thing about the Eye... it is actually easier after it transforms unless your spamming chrukens.
