My favorite thing about the enchanted boomerang is the massive knockback it has. You can push meteor heads clear off the screen with it.

But then the fuckers come back with 3 more of their buddies, pissed off as fuck.

I have yet to encounter goblins... not that I am afraid of them at this point.

This is hypothetical of course. Still no goblins have happened.

Had 2 armies of goblins, still no boots or harpoon.  I'm not particularly interested in using either (red balloon + cloud in a bottle + grapple seems to do everything I need to do quickly and effectively with no mana cost) but I do want the completeness of having them in case I do end up in a situation they would be handy in.

Goblins can deconstruct doors, so double-doors won't keep them out. Of course, building trenches works a bit better, but YMMV.

Nope, I just brick them up when I leave.

No way for them to get in.

... or just, yanno', build underground. Preferably past the dirt backwall. It's a pretty effective anti-goblin tactic.

But yeah, screw goblins. I've soloed 4-5 armies so far, no boots. Harpoons out th'arse, but those are bloody worthless if you've got a flail of any sort. I've mostly resigned myself to never having boots. Balloon and cloud helps fill that void in my heart.

Goblin sieges are poor for me too. I've seen a total of two rocket boots on the first siege.

Nothing ever since. No harpoons or anything. Just a ton of spiky balls.

That is one of the problems with Terraria is that some items are so hard to get that you are BOUND to get the improvement before you get the previous weapon.

You will get hell weapons before you get the dungeon.

You will get... well... everything before you get Goblin junk.

It works better in multiplayer I guess...
