Raid dungeons, kill enemies and find items that use is. (like rocket boots, magic gun and flower of fire)

Of course, you're still left with the issue of finding a magic spell to spend your newly-acquired mana on. Unless you count the Rod of Dirt (and really, you shouldn't.  ), you won't get any mana-consuming items until fairly late in the game.


...actually, how early can you get a magic item? Shadow Orbs drop Light Orbs, and the resulting meteors can be converted into Space Guns. I guess you could reach a floating island before that and find yourself a Starfury... but otherwise, you pretty much have to reach at least Demonite gear before any magical items become available.

You can get a goblin invasion and thus rocket boots fairly early too. Smash one shadow orb, get 200 HP, and Urist's your uncle. All you need to smash a shadow orb is dynamite or purification powder, and for those you either need to have found a bomb (demolitionist), which is easy as pie, or beaten one boss (dryad), eyethulu being the easiest, which is quite a bit harder. (Or made a demonite pick, but for that you still need to have beaten eyethulu, etc, to get demonite)

I am playing on a Huge world so the FLoating Islands will be pretty high up right, and luckily I have one stick of dynamite, and 9 bombs.

You'll probably need 2 or 3 dynamite to get to one of the shadow orbs. I'd sell the bombs and buy dynamite with the money.

Edit: Purification powder is a better deal, but by the time you can get it, you can probably make a demonite pick anyways

K thanks for the tip, adn I found about six shadow orbs, but their is some corruption stone in my way for all of em

Not exactly. To get purapowder you need to kill iCthulhu, but to get a demonite pick you need to take out EoW, so there is a small gap there.

iCthulhu already drops enough demonite and scales for a pick, I think. Or maybe not. It's a better bet with Shai-Hulud's evil brother, in any case, since he drops a whole lot more of the stuff.
