Buahaha, I have begun the flooding of hell. I've collected up several lakes worth of water which should start the job, I'm about to join the ocean up to it. Fun times.

Wow, I opened the ocean up, it flowed for 5 minutes, then all the water disappeared. I went down to hell and there is now a huge ocean underground. Gonna check this out in world viewer. Shame there isn't an item that gives infinite underwater breath.

Sadly its not the whole Hell, not enough water, it will have been kept in place by the Walls of a Hell House.

Yep. I now have to travel across the map, over a dungeon and through corruption to get to this part as well. I might just rebuild my house and change my spawn.

I'm driving away my first goblin invasion with just a musket, flintlock pistol, and a thousand musket balls. Or I would be, but my cat wants to lay on my keyboard.

I'm kind of disappointed in the goblins, personally. Get a flat space, water bolt, a pistol and an autoclicker, and they're just plain dead. The whole reason to fight in your base is to provide you cover, but since none of the goblins use ranged attacks that aren't magical, there's no point. If the goblins used those spikey balls they carried around, sieges would be actually approach difficult.

Are you mocking the wizards? Me, Box, and Int got owned for over 5 minutes. Can't run from the wizards. Ended up bombing the entire base, then quit. The horde never stops coming...

We were fine with the goblin siege on our server until we realised there was no backwalls in our sunflower garden. Although we did lure half of them into a mountain pass where they could be killed in ridiculous numbers.

Shoot the magic. And they do stop. After a day or so.

I wish they at least had archers. Really, a lot of the enemy types could use improvement.

Goblins would probably be... interesting if they happened early into a world on a new character.
Alas, the first goblin siege I saw was when I had pretty decent gear already, so beyond being tough to kill, they weren't particularly deadly. Was also on multiplayer, so there were friends about that were killing too.

I'll give them that though, the goblin warriors have pretty good HP and armor. Takes a few good hits from a high end weapon to put them down

Fighting goblins wizards on a tower and a giant pit and cavern next to it is hard. Especially when they rubber band back to life. They stay out of your range while pelting you with undestroyable magic missiles, with everything rubber banding back to life.
