Chill, Cheese. Lots of potions and they don't appear on screen more than 5 in numbers in single player. Ball o' Hurt is your friend here. And a good armor, not necessarily 'set bonus' tiers.

I fought mine first with Ball o' Hurt and some random pieces of armor and 8 potions

I don't even have decent armour yet. I've got silver greaves, iron body armour and a shadow helmet. No magic items, just the demonite flail and sword. I expected it to be later in the game. How long does it usually take them to arrive?

Fortunately, I've just discovered a meteor on the edge of my main corruption field closest to my home. Unfortunately I don't have an obsidian skull.

Edit: @Haspen: Oh, that's good. I don't have a decent base set up yet, so I imagine that most of my NPCs will die. Do they spawn around you or walk towards your walls?

E: Crap, goblins caught me next to the meteor. Time for WAR!

I got a nice small crater near my home, and waited there - they come offscreen so as long as you don't see any NPC rooms, your buddies are fine. Peons are grunts: Thieves are Peaons on crack, Warriors are Peons with lots of HP, and Sorceror is your typical teleport-fireball dude.

I used all the money I got to buy a mining helmet. Not sure about wearing it instead of the shadow helmet though. On the other hand, I have plenty of health.

I know what this game needs. A "bigscreenshot" function, like Total Annihilation has. Since it simulates the whole world anyway, it should be fairly easy to dump a giant screencap, maybe 20 screens high and 10 screens across, centered on the current viewport.

And yeah, more buildings pictures. The only one I have now is the giant spire of glass and masonry, which you've already seen. I gotta build something more impressive.

Has anyone built any boats on the oceans or floating city/airships? I at least have intent to try to work on one for the heck of it.

Bonus points if you can model one similar to Super Mario 3 levels.

Would probably look neat in a decent-sized body of water, especially if it's large enough to enter or something.

Are these harpoons actually useful at all?

Shoot one directly against the ground, and you'll see that it can function as a kind of jackhammer of death. Its piercing effect is also quite useful, personally it's my weapon of choice.

Friend recently linked me to a sort of Widescreen Mod, source code included. It lets you change the resolution the game plays in. Obviously that's not the same as a "big" screenshot, but it's a start I guess? I haven't tried it yet myself, but he mentioned it might screw with the GUI a bit.

Ugh, I'm trying to make a Terraira server so I can show my brother my world I setup so far. So far, no luck. How was the Bay-12 server setup? Or should I ask this in the server thread instead?
