I've had a meteor yesterday. Maybe there was a small update after that that broke them... But we waited for 40-50 min.

I got my first meteor yesterday, it was nearly instant after smashing the orb

had meteor message twice myself, but mined one and can't find the other anywhere. Unless it hit some floating island or something...

The irony is, that once you have the materials for better stuff, copper is basically useless and you'll still be up to your ass in it.  I obsessively mine every piece that I see of course, because I could always sell it.  Does raise the question of why I can't just mint my own coins with the stuff.  It's not like there's a treasury or anything.  Not to mention I built the fucking town, so these guys should take whatever I call money and like it.

Economics 101: I house you, feed you, defend you from hoards of monsters, and there is nobody else in existence that can do the same. See that minishark? Give it to me, now.

I suspect this hole in the game's logical presentation is going to turn up in Redigit's suggestion box a lot.  It's bad enough in most RPGs, where you are single-handedly saving the universe from prophesied evil, and the townsfolk don't so much as cut you a price break, let alone give you any gifts or send people to help.

In their defense, you're already on thin ice with most of these people for breaking in and stealing everything that isn't nailed down.  Be glad they were gracious enough to wait until after you saved the universe to throw your ass in jail.

Also in their defense.  How do they even know you did anything at all?  For all they know you are toking it up in a cave somewhere while the real hero does his thing.

You then proceed to offer him a hit for saving the world and bash him in the back of the head, steal his equipment and present yourself as the hero of the land.

Fittingly the trip you took earlier gives you a good story to tell of your adventures through evil spacetime of sin.

GODAMN IT, WHY IS THE DROP ITEM BUTTON RIGHT NEXT TO THE OTHER BUTTONS I USE. Seriously, first I accidentally dropped a gold pickaxe in lava (which was fine because I had like 30 spare gold bars at that point), then when exploring the underground I dropped my molten pickaxe in lava (ASOFHSDOPIJOPSDIFSO).

On the subject of meteors, it's possible that one fell into one of the chasms, since that happened to me (which i noticed when meteor heads were attacking me while I was going to a demon altar to craft.

Got Eyethulhu from killing Demon Eyes, so now the C-sucker won't leave me alone until I kill his sorry ass. Sadly, I am in no state of armor or weaponry to do such a thing. Tried my rifle, shurikens, everything short of non-rifle guns, flails and magic (the only spell I have is the ball of light, which is about as useful as a wooden sword to me (yay mining helmet)).

If anyone can give me a weapon or armor that can bring this asshole down, I'd be grateful. It's hard to cross the Corruption to see what's on the other side when I can barely get past it without being called back to deal with him or die. (I have two meteors somewhere on my main map, too. An obsidian skull would help there, but I'm not holding out much hope.)

Incidentally, how do you work the map viewer?

Just soloed Skeletron. Flamerang, rocket boots, full meteorite, 10 or so lesser health pots. Finished at about 1 am. Now for loooooooting.

I did skeletron yesterday, it was sorta overkill since I was in full molten gear using the flail I got from a skelly snake

He died in less then 1/4 of the night.
