I placed like half a dozen torches just a few meters from the dungeon away :3

What if you got all the way down to the magma and looted a lot but there's the occasional cavern that hasn't been entered yet?

I place a 2 on the entrance from the forest, but inside the cave, at each turn, I place a 1, 2 or 3 depending on what is there. For anything special like a path to hell I place signs.

On another note; I figured out that asshole blob thing that did half my hp when I smacked it with my hammer was, in fact, a Demon Alter.

Tis too bad that world is gone.

I'm starting to feel like there's not a lot of reason to ever bring a new character to an old world. The amount of stuff 4 people can scavenge in 3 hours is huge. A server supporting 10 or 12 people....it'd be slim pickins' for newbies who want to go find some ore or a chest or a life crystal.

And with the spawn rates as they are....you NEED that stuff to get anywhere appreciable, other than digging straight down and walling yourself in. Even pimped with demonite weapons and silver armor, I'm still getting dog piled during Bloodmoons by 10+ guys and getting killed.

When I see that there is a Blood moon, I hit the surface and start throwing the Boomerang around. Aim for just above their heads when they are half the screen away so that the Rang passes over, on its return it will pass through them all. AND Throw them backwards away from you...

Joined a random game with goodies gained in the underworld: Constructed an obsidian tower (small version anyway, only 5 stories) with red-brick backing on first 4 floors, then gold backing and hellstone blocks center piece with demon forge sides, rimmed in glass top floor, with a silver-backed ash and hellstone ore cap.  Extruding at the top: a glass figurine.

Kinda ran outta silver at the top though, so not perfect.  Plus, the perfect hellstone at the top didnt last long.

Good news though is someone happened to summon eater of worlds at the tower, and in the chaos I nabbed some armor and enough stuff to make a nightmare pickaxe.  Mmmm.

I think if I collect some more, then with my bands and meteor armour and rocket boots, I might be able to stay in the air by recharging while I fall as fast as I consume while I climb. I'm close now with one band...

In they alpha no, but now they are. It's rare to find a mono-colour one.

The multiplayer server had a pure green one. I guess I'll get back there later and nab some background blocks then.
