Thing is, it's still possible to just hack the flight timer and fly endlessly again.

I'd very much like to have a means of proper flight. Old rocket boots were great. The new boots are merely jumpjets.

But yeah. I really wish they would make the game go "Haha nope. We know you're limited to 200 mana. No way you should have 10000, and we know what your regen timer is, so quit fucking with us. Oh, and BANNED FOR HACKING."

At what point did I flaunt it about and act like it was impressive? Aside from taking a few joking digs at myself about it.

As I said, it's a game, the point is to have fun, flying around endlessly is quite fun.

I think Wymar and I discovered a glitch. In multiplayer, all sprouts that others plant look like daybloom sprouts. However, when they grow up 1 stage, then they grow normally.

Apperantly the new boots has less to do with balance and more that they want magic users to be able to use the boots too.

That is what is called bullshit. Magic users were usually the ONLY ones kitted out to take advantage of the boots potential.

As to the cheaty mana bits...
You know why half the people in the public servers were flying around with the infinite mana?
Because it is fun. (I didn't do this, because I could get close enough with the tools the game offered. Now, however, I am tempted to just hack infinite fly speed in manually)
Why is it so wrong for people to have fun with their game? Yeesh.
Sure, maybe there were better ways to do it (remove the cheaty bit, allow toggling infinite mana/fly speed as a server option), but that doesn't change the fact that it was really really fun for a lot of people.

Actually... man, being able to set Rocket Boot duration as a server thing would be freaking awesome.

Tried hacking for the rocket boots timer myself. Wasn't too easy, as the game seemed to use some false values to make it harder.
Anyway, also got the pointers and everything, should I post the table here?

It would get you auto-kicked if you went online (I hope they have int-modification-detection at the very least) and if people don't like it in their SP game, they can not use it, not cry about it being posted.

I doubt the anti-cheat checks the Boots timer.
Anyway, I did some more testing and it's not ready for shipping just yet. Pointers are multi-leveled, so it just points to nowhere on a new game session.

Well, to anyone doing this on their own, the value is single-byte with the original value 7, decreasing to 0 as you burn it. Searching with the default 4 bytes should work too.

Their base anti-cheat doesn't even check mana count and regen. TShock does though.

I finally did it by letting the Pointer Scanner do its magic.
This is for the Steam version, PM me if you need any *cough*other*cough* version.

Oh, and read the Table Extras, I left most of the info there.

For those who are a bit disturbed by the cheaty way of this table, worry not:
If I manage to get a hang of the code injection, I should be able to simply increase the reserve (so like, 5 secs instead of one).
Less cheaty that way.
