Ugh, I'm playing on the largest world size and it takes forever to get down.  I finally made it to the lava layer and fell in. Again.

I found 2 Magic Mirrors, Hermes' Boots, a Breathing Reed (not too useful, but quirky) and enough gold to upgrade all my tools, playing non-stop since the moment it was released on Steam.   I think I might transfer my character to a small world since I just can't seem to reach any of the fun stuff.  Did find some obsidian, though.
I absolutely love how the furniture items automatically make your home look nice and cozy.

Anyways, is there a way to keep mother slimes and skeletons from spawning?  At a certain depth they just keep coming and coming no matter how many torches I litter all over the cave.  Despite the hundreds of skeletons I haven't found a hook yet, though.

That's why I'm trying to kill the eye.
To get the druid.
The get the powder.
To get the orbs.
To get some gear.
To kill the worm.
To get the nightmare pick.
The mine the meteors.
To make new armour.
To kill skeletor.
To get into the dungeon.
To get new stuff and bones.
To make necro armour.

And from then on I'm not sure. Despite not having skills, this game is sort of grindy when you know what you want.

Could shortcut the eye by spelunking until you find a chest with dynamite in it. My medium-world single-player dude's already managed that, huhuhu.

Then it's just a gold piece per orb, usually. Two sticks of dynamite to bust through. You only need gold to mine the meteors, unless that changed recently...

The back-walls prevent monsters from spawning, so if you just line the ground with back-walls, you can probably stop them from spawning.

You just need dynamite to get 'em.
Also, I killed EoC with just a stack of shurikens and a few platforms.

Or just luck out and have a meteor strike, mine it with a golden pickaxe and skip chasming.
Or try to find a free orb, there are a few.

I dug out an area to start growing Mushrooms when I get some Seeds and mud and I find that it keeps spawning Mobs every now and then...

I still haven't found any health crystals. I think they are more rare now, as I have two sticks of dynamite, a band of regen and a cloud in a bottle before I have a single heart.

Found the second one ~3 squares away from my first chest. Forget if I've found a third yet or not, heh.

So; are goblin spawns rare/random? I didn't encounter a single one in the leak, same thing with the "Underground rainforest" type thing. Also, no demon alters. Really bad luck?

Is there any way to craft stuff without having to click a million times?... I know when you're shopping, you can hold right-click.  Crafting doesn't seem to have anything similar?
