The fact you can dupe it makes it kinda easy for someone to get there and fill it quickly...
It would need to be something harder then that. I was thinking a basic building block which you need to move around this construct to find the best position to fill each section, this makes it so that your there longer for players to defend their base...

As a rule of thumb, if you want boots, slaughter the casters, and ignore all others when possible. Casters must die.

Having been hosting the server much lately :P

Trying to get back to DF again, guess the terraria craze has mostly died down for me.

Anyways here's the multiplayer map some of you guys have worked on

Right-click on a tile with the seed in your hand. If it's a Grass Seed, plant it on dirt. If it's an acorn, on grass. If it's a Mushroom seed, below ground (where the background goes from dirt to dirt with rocks in it) on mud. If it's an Underground Jungle seed, you are a hacker.

Apparently my brother and I spawned an epic landscape and apparently also planted a little cottage smack in between 2 floating islands equidistant from each other. Made seperate spawn points on each island, and used the cottage as a central deathmatch zone. We both had horseshoes (thanks to the island treasures), and it just made starting PVP war all the more epic. I started my fights usually with a hailstorm of shooting stars and arrows, and then started slicing and firing like mad using the terrain to my advantage.

Despite my brother being twice as strong as me, I still won 1/3 of the battles.

That was a pretty fun session.

Also, does anyone else think the Eater of Worlds boss is really, really buggy? I've faced him three times now, and each time, died due to various circumstances (including being trapped in a 2-wide verticle shaft while fire imps teleported around inaccessible areas throwing magic at me). But each time I died, the game told me I won the fight, AND awarded me Shadow Scales and other loot for the kill.

This last time was just bizarre; I died during the fight by falling down a chasm, and respawned back at home. Didn't get any "u wins!" message this time, and the music was back to normal, but I still got a bunch of Shadow Scales. 5 minutes later, the boss music kicks up, and a tiny 3-segment Eater of Worlds comes charging into my bedroom. I kill him, and get even more loot.

What the fuh?
Im not exactly sure how it works, but it seems that when you die, all but the longest segmented EoW part will also die. He will also completely die sometimes; not sure why. Really buggy, happens to me almost every battle.
