Interesting touch with the double doors. Do you need to turn backwards to open the closest one? Decent solution for blocking enemies both ways. As for the bricks, well, not sure what to say. You could replace them with a different kind, but that would A: not look as nice and B: it'd be a pain to make all those copper/(silver?)/gold/clay bricks.

Finally got this and wow, I've been having a great time. Purposely avoiding spoilers but I got to the edge of the map and took a candle from the dungeon. Says it will attract danger. I fully expect to see the house I built for myself but had taken over by a merchant in ruins when I return one day.

EDIT: Trying to get into a multiplayer world, and it freezes at 83%  ::)
