They really need to add Hardmore ore Furniture and stuff or just something I can make with all this Adamantite/Oricalcum/Cobalt I have that now useless.   :'(

Anyways the Work on the Skyland City it Almost Done I just need 900+ snow/ice to make the Ice Island and More Mushroom seeds/spores to make the Mushroom one.

Has anyone tested the effects of honey on mob movement speed? Could make for an effective flytrap sort of deal when farming goblins/pirates/eclipses.

Everything I've seen so far has shown that neither the fluid nor the block have much, if any, effect on mobs.  But I've been meaning to get around to some proper testing regarding just that.

The wizard died before I could talk to him. GRAH! *tableflip*
My experience was rather different. I was mostly dodging giant fireballs and flaming skeleton mobs (literal mobs, six to seven skeletons apiece) while the guy just sat around being tied up. I managed to click on him to free him, and was five seconds later blown up by a fireball while trying to use the magic mirror.

He was nonchalantly waiting for me in the same room I respawned in, because I forgot that a bed still counts as a chair for housing purposes.


I can only assume he used his wizard powers to get my unconscious body out of the dungeon and personally delivered me to my floating icebergship so I could recover.

I finally found both the wizard and mechanic in hardmode world while dungeon diving. Untied them and they died, after which metal skeletron woke up and killed me.

Decide to gear up and go farm a tactical shotgun from the dungeon.

Just finished gearing up. "A solar eclipse is happening."

Awesome. Let me go collect my mob killers and set up the kill platform.

15 minutes later of holding a water candle as my spike ball traps slaughter the classic movie monsters. +40 gold, +1 broken hero sword, +1 batwing, +1 "A blood moon is rising."

Temple trap that releases spike balls if activated.

And it's a bitch when you get killed by rabbits that way.

It is a jungle temple trap that happened to spawn outside the door for me. It releases a spiked ball, 3 second or so cooldown, that does about 60-80 damage unarmored, has infinite pierce, bounces around semi randomly for about 30 seconds, and then leaves. If I can figure out how o survive probe spam with molten armor, I could kill the destroyer without doing a thing to it directly.

Surviving with molten armor:
Get a band of regeneration, and a philosopher's stone, merge them at the goblin workbench.
If that stacks with a regular band of regeneration, and also stacks with the mana+HP regen, do so.
Potion of Regeneration.
Reforge everything to Warding.
Become the Immortal Knight!

Remove obsidian skull/shield/horseshoe/whatever makes you immune to fireblocks.  Create campfire+honey station with meteorite blocks.  Stack health regen and cross necklace/the other thing it builds into, giving you 2-second grace period after getting hurt.

Or, if you don't want to do the burning thing, drop sand on yourself.  Makes it a little harder to coordinate things with the honey and campfire though.


That's the old-fashioned way of not taking damage from the destroyer.  Back in the day, I just sat in my little hole (without campfire or honey, as this was before they existed) and held out my Dao of Pow, waiting for him to impale himself on my not-quite-a-blade.

They fixed the burning. Instead of damaging you it now deals 10 DPS from a status effect.

I think sand/getting bit on the foot still works though.
