FPS Oddity

Ok, my FPS is acting real weird...

I've got 130 dwarves, caverns breached, loads of junk, about 4-5 years in, TONS of animals, several FBs running around downstairs, clothing rotting away, loads of blood splatters, loads of constructions etc... A river ropside.

And I'm stil running on 90-100 FPS.

Wu... wut!? This hasn't happened to me before!

I think it's the way towns develop now. In the beginning, people move into a town. Then they start producing tables, which results in more and more tables. Soon tables represent a significant portion of the population, they start lobbying for new laws and regulations, putting people to greater and greater disadvantage...
Link for full quote. 'tis mighty funny.

Your dwarves have finally found the fabled teleportation gun, there is no more pathing for your computer to work through.

Honestly, that's about average for a decent rig. A few more years and 10k more junk and you'll see it drop significantly. Right now I'm playing on my laptop, if I embark with running water I drop down to 80, 50 dwarves and it'll be 50. The dwarves on my desktop move too fast for me if I play on my laptop too long :)
