A one-shot would be a good way to have us meet the inquisitor, and saves us from fucking up your setting with our lack of knowledge.

You'll meet the Inquisitor before the first mission.  The one shot will use premade characters who aren't in service to the same Inquisitor.

Okay, seems good, after having a good read through of the combat mechanics, seems like a good idea.

Here, fully randomised except for the name, appearance and divination, which I changed from +3 int to +3 int and +3 corrupt to tie the stats and the background together

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I hope there is still room left for me; I tried to make the background sort of consistent with the randomly generated stats. It might be a little "over the top", but I don't think it's implausible, just improbable; and there's a limit to my imagination (yea, the "escaping through the airlock" part is a little fishy but I couldn't find anything).

Funfact:
I wanted him to be an assassin, either stealth or sniper (or both) but when I rolled his stats I was like "40 WP!!!! Ok, psyker time" but then I saw he was space hulk background and the awesome story came to my mind so I went "meh, screw the stats".

I'm available 100% of the time at 12:00 GMT on sundays. At 11:00 GMT I will sometimes be absent until 11:45 GMT.

Alright, the orientation session is going to be some time soon.  Participants will play an elite team of Acolytes on a mission to exterminate some heretics and recidivists on a backwater agri-world.  There are four characters right now.  I might be persuaded to make a fifth.  Otherwise, if there are more than four people who need a refresher some can spectate I guess.

More information later.  Those of you who haven't made backgrounds need to hurry up or I won't pick your character.

Wolfe was taken to be a tech priest at a very young age. The great forge world he lived upon was a manufactory for the vehicles of the imperium. His family tended towarrds the academic, with his mother and older brother turning to the path of the adept, schooling themselves in argriculture and the great crusades respectively. His father recommended that Wolfe be taken for training as a tech priest. The techpriest training took it's hold and Wolfe left with an irrevocable urge to learn of electricity, or more precisely of the Machine Spirits relation to it.

Born on a great forge world, Quarl was brought up by his Arbitrator mother who installed a large amount of belief that the laws are the second greatest force in the universe and must be upheld at any cost. The rule of law, and the rule of law alone would be the only thing that could save the empire from the ravages of the hordes of chaos and xenos. That the emperor himself was the paragon and embodiment of lawfulness.

Growing up Quarl knew that he would some day be a Arbitrator, it was his one goal and ambition. Thus when he was accepted to their ranks as a trooper he counted it as the happiest day of his life.

He quite happily went on, arresting criminals and following the orders of his superiors, and for a few years you could say he was quite happy. But then, one day a powerful arms smuggler that Quarl himself had help capture (he was quite proud of this) was acquitted of all charges and let free with a official apology. Quarl was devastated that the justice system would let someone who there was so much evidence again run free. Confused, he dug deeper into the case.

They did not even try to hide it. His superiors. His fellow Arbitrators.  They had been bribed into letting the scum go free. To his horror his investigations unearthed the fact that in his area hundreds if not thousands of criminals had bribed their way to freedom over the past several years. His whole city seemed to be corrupted. How could the Law rule when the very people who were supposed to uphold it were the biggest factor in breaking it.

The system was broken and Quarl knew it was past redemption. There was only one path now. The system, the bureaucracy, everything. It had to be destroyed and replaced anew.

That work?

I know how to play DH, so if you're running out of characters for the orientation session, I can sit it out.

<Edit after reading post below>
Yea same thing: if you choose me for the main game.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Eisen from a young age in Gunmetal city was holding, a gun, to be precise, his fathers gun's. His father worked in one of the many workshops that made up Gunmetal city and he was always proud of that and to wield the weapons that his father had created. He felt that, from a young age that most youth from Gunmetal city was that he should become a duelist and bring fame to his family and particularly his fathers handywork by wielding his fathers arm's in the arena. He was mistaken, he had one his first duel, feeling cocky with himself he had challenged a high profile duelist. He was laying on the ground bleeding before he realized what happened. But what enrages him to this day was the fact he was left alive and not killed with honor like duelist strive for. Shamed, Eisen signed up for the Guard, hoping to find glory and escape home

Joining the Guard was not all that it was made out to be, Shortly after signing up he was sent to the hell known as Basic Training with his Father's arms being taken from him and being handed (Much to his dismay) a Common Print Las Pistol and Shotgun, Not only do had they stripped him of his pride they had also given him a poor weapon, This stirred up and inflamed Eisen, wanting to be a Hero and a name to be known of the Guard and a Proud server of the Emperor, He knew that serving as a grunt wasnt going to do it for him, he knew He must do something great and become a cleanser, That how all the names are written down.

I'd rather use this character, I created the scum without really realizing how the rules work and the advancement and stuff.
