Background: Trauma, born Deciphica Makiah, is the third child of the captain of the rogue trader Swift Seas. Her mother's name is Orlean, and is the co-captain of the ship. Her father's name is Jericus, the captain. They were still alive five years ago, but she hasn't heard from them since. Trauma had two older twin-brothers, Garm and Haxtes. They were both psykers. They left the ship when Trauma was ten, indoctrinated into the Imperial Guard. Last she'd heard, Haxtes had died while fighting foul xenos on some backwater world. Trauma didn't manifest her abilities until long after her brothers left, when she was twenty-one. The Seas was in port, and her pious parents sent her off with the nearest Black-Ship like they did with her brothers, with tears in their eyes. Upon finishing her sanctioning, at age twenty-seven, Trauma was given all of the letters her parents had sent her. The latest letter was dated the year before, telling her that the Seas was embarking on a journey into deep unexplored space in hopes of trade. It said that they probably wouldn't be back for several years. Trauma wasn't strong enough the be with the Imperial Guard, and she was left to drift the galaxy, seeing the corruption within Imperial Rule. She even took part in a few purges put in place by the Adeptus Arbites, giving support with her abilities. Over the years, she's naturally picked up resistances to those of her trade from battling against them. She has trained her mind into unreadability, at the cost of her sanity. She comes off as weird at the best of times, and down right insane at the worst. She doesn't keep to herself, even though her abilities shun her out of Imperial society. She's rather out going on the outside, but when she's alone she sulks and moans for redemption and spiritual cleansing.
Her experience with corrupt society made her a prime candidate for Inquisitor Victus.
