Boot coverage question
« on: May 16, 2011, 02:57:52 am »

Yet another silly little question,

In one fortress I was rather surprised to find that highboots were foreign. I checked the wiki to see what the difference between the two were, that highboots have an upstep of 1 to the lowboots none. My curiosity being, with greaves having the lpstep of max, if I use greaves do I actually need highboots, or are lowboots sufficient?

If you use greaves, low boots are fine.

Greaves cover the upper legs and lower legs. High boots cover the feet and lower legs.

Leggings cover the upper legs. Low boots cover the feet.

Overlap is good, but "greaves + low boots" or "leggings + high boots" will give full coverage.
