Grabbing nukes is I heard pretty durn easy, as in you just need to fulton em from next to the bottom/main helipad of the last platform, then jump overboard or something.  I've never seen anyone on my has-a-nuke list though.  Probably cause when its there, people jump on it pretty quickly... along with protection time applying.

EDIT: Shotgun is pretty dangerous.  Unsilenced stunner takes 2 shots to down any player.  My memory also says one shot to stun defenders.  With the silenced stunner, its either 4 or 5 shots on a player.  2 for NPC unless its a headshot, just like in single player... maybe. (I've only mistakenly brought it on a defense mission once.  My confusion when he didn't go down in 2 shots.)

i stole one

the person i stole it from was a hacker who was defending

they retaliated, insta-perma-stunned all my men...

and didn't take the nuke back

Probably hacked that in, too.
My one question is why hackers do the thing. If it's fun, just do it in singleplayer. If it's to win, go be an asshole to a community that cares, like Call of Duty.

yeah it's almost hilarious just how little you gain from hacking online

like 99% of the fun of FOB invasion is that it's FUCKING HARD

like, easily the hardest infiltration of the game

Speaking of, are players instantly aware of your infiltration whether or not you get spotted? And can they always defend no matter what state the FOB is in? It's annoying being sniped from across the map because I poked my head out of cover for a millisecond.

yes and yes

"defender incoming" means you switch gears from winning to stealing as much shit as possible

Actually, only players supporting someone you're infiltrating are aware, IIRC. But they always know.

Right, my problem is I regularly take D-E levelled dudes so I don't loose much when I get killed.

And they always bring sniper rifles.

I bring the tranq sniper out of habit (when attacking; defending is FULL EXPLOSIVE WEAPONRY) and it's kind of annoying when my opponent can wigglespam their way out of the tranq in seconds, only to be shot in the scalp seven more times.

Ugh that's depressing.
Come on, give me SOME reason to outfit my guys with nonlethal weapons.  Any reason at all.
Because yeah the wigglespam minigame is a piece of cake, if it's equivalent to what the "wandering mother base soldiers" can do.

Well, lethals tend to have people running away when they're almost dead. If you can manage to keep them in the open when you have nl's and then Fulton them, you get extra ransom money.

If you can get to them, of course.
