but now i wonder

when is the prequel about The Boss coming???

Honestly given what I know about her life before the events of MGS3... It is rather unpleasant and flat out depressing.

I mean I guess if you wanted to play as a pregnant woman, and not in an awesome way but in a "it is really depressing" sort of way.

I feel like the obvious next step would be a modern remake of Metal Gear 1 and 2.  Ideally keep it as a top-down arcadey thing, but with dialogue that fits the story and tone better.
Like how Metroid Zero Mission was essentially like Metroid 1 but with improved gameplay and story.

Of course Kojima's not on board anymore I guess?  So hire this person http://zarla.livejournal.com/230920.html

After being a bit confused about some things mentioned I actually played MGS 1 and 2 the past days. Geezus is it hard to follow the plot. And Seeing Ocelot in 1&2 made me think the one in Phantom Pain seems... really out of character. Granted he's younger. Maybe everyone just get's really grumpy once they hit a certain age in the MGS Universe.

I have a question or two tough, for people who might be a little more knowledgable about the Universe:

Yeah Ocelot really ought to be flirting with Snake harder.  Uh I mean... actually that's more a MGS3 thing.  And in my heart.

Every Metal Gear had different reasons for being special

The Peacewalker brand of Metal Gears were special because they were an automatic response system. In otherwords you invade and your guaranteed some nukes up your butt.

Its Bipedal aspect was mostly to make it all terrain because it was built to basically hide underwater and walk across the ocean floor.

Or, as in PW, to traverse the uneven and muddy landscape of whatever country it was set in.

Some of the Metal Gears didn't make sense to me personally. Namely the Metal Gear Rex... Who didn't have nukes and weren't particularly strong, powerful, or easy to make.

I hope I am thinking of the right Metal Gears, the T-Rex ones.

Er I think you're thinking of... either Metal Gear Ray or the Gekkos. Metal Gear Rex was practically indestructible and arguably the best performing Metal Gear in the series :P

Very arguable, I guess it depends what it was supposed to do.

Peacewalker would get my vote.

everyone at your FOBs (not sure what exactly this entails, could simply be everyone except directly contracted people) are at risk, only security team takes part in the defense, your soldiers can be stolen by a raid on that platform but they can't if they're directly onctracted
