So... I had this thing happen... where I knew this guy is in my FOB... for over 15 minutes. 
The whole time I'm trying to get in to defend, but the system would not let me.  Apparently he eventually beat my size 4 maxed out base non-lethal base.
He triggered alert since minute 1 too.

Granted I did retaliate against him earlier and screwed around in his size 1 base, eventually getting defeated by his guards.

I need to get me a turbo controller or something, cause these people get up pretty quick compared to me.

KB+M controls allow way, way faster getting up, I think; people are assuming it's a macro, but no, just sorta shaking around and mashing gets me up in less than two seconds

now, there are cheats; why, just this last time I stole a nuke from a guy and, when he retaliated, all of my friends were stunned the instant he entered

Konami's got a thing up about cheating.
Apparently they don't want reverse-engineering (??? what does this mean) or hacking of the game. Try reporting their username, man.

yeah i tried that

they're just straight-up lying about that, nothing about reporting on their site at all

Also: reverse-engineering meaning opening the .dat files and poking around in them. It's not hard at all, all the game logic's in raw .lua files in there AFAIK.

So guys. By Episode 40 and lots of fooling around, I feel I’ve mostly exhausted the game. It’s fantastic, but over 60 hours in, it’s become repetitive and rather overlong. Nothing new’s brought to the table from Episode 30 onwards. I find myself losing my patience and trying to rush through the missions, sometimes with dreadful results.

So it’s great, but I kind of want to get it over with at this point.

My guess is Kojima planned something grand and robust for the game’s 50 episodes, but took too long and by episode 30 the budget was dwindling, so he was forced to introduce filler and reuse existing assets to populate the last 20 missions.

Perhaps the game would’ve been an even better, tighter experience with 35-40 well-done story missions instead of bloated 50. I suppose we’ll never know.
