Zone of the Enders is a Kojima thing, yeah. Jehuty is the mecha you control in the game.

Some of the Kojima games are connected (Snatcher, Metal Gear, and I THINK Police Naughts are)

The Snatchers actually have started appearing in Raiden's games.

So, the gun customization is officially BORKED. I made a grenade shotgun, another grenade shotgun, a fully automatic tranq pistol with 100 darts, a rocket shotgun, and the most horrifying abomination known to man.

They're all glitches. Normally you can only customize things in the same class, i.e. giving one assault rifle a different assault rifle's barrel, or something.

I doubt it, I've had to leave Steam in offline mode for a bit over a week (to avoid that corrupted save on the Konami cloud).  (WORTH IT)
I assume this is the bug where certain items have a red box-and-slash, but can still be selected?  Pretty sure that's how I silenced my rubber assault rifle, because I don't think I have any base silenced assault rifles.

Then again, I couldn't put a silencer on a shotgun yet.  Maybe because there were no "valid" barrel extensions available, so the submenu couldn't be entered (and then the invalid option chosen?) dunno.

This sounds like another reason never to let my game contact Konami, though.  I can live without FOB.

But yeah, non-tranq nonlethals generally can't be silenced.

[Edit] A grenade launcher and rocket launcher does not a successful intruder make.
...I mean, I died twice, but that's fine.

is how it's supposed to work, I guess, since when I ignored the red rectangle-and-slash, I was able to attach the silencer to the non-lethal assault rifle.
That does explain why it would indicate that I couldn't!
