PvE Co-op is pretty awesome with my buddies.  Still a learning experience though.
And well, in the case of peacewalker, the only place to have randoms in your game is probably the vehicle battles... yea, it is usually better to go hot unless its one of the really low level ones that will get blown up on the first mission in the mercenary thing anyways.
EDIT: Helichopper battles can be stealthed though...  or at the least non-lethal with randoms.
