based on what I know, just use a faq... if you don't it's such a crapshoot because there's not much indication where you'll use the traps on the trapped animals, and even if you place them in the right spots it's not 100% guarantee you'll get the rare ones

It really is the worst part of the game and only exists to annoy the 100%ers

That trailer looks they're remaking Snake Eater for current-gen, or maybe making a movie, but it's not one of those things?  It's some sort of... slot machine?

Like, that's disappointing and maybe a waste, but I don't understand the anger yet...  I mean they could use the assets towards one of those smart things later right?  I have no idea what's going on though.

The anger is because this is what Konami does with their IPs now. They don't make games, they just whore out product placement, and sadly, it makes them a lot of money.

It's not gambling though, seeing as how you can't win money with it. Prizes, sure, but no money.

You exchange the balls for prizes which you sell for money. That's, like, the most transparent loophole abuse I've ever seen lol.

But you also have to go through the effort of sitting and staring at a machine for hours, perhaps turning a dial every so often, in order to do it, if you manage it at all.

These machines aren't going to let you win enough for you to gain anything substantial, and the prizes are going to cost less than the total cost of the balls you need to buy.

Loophole, but hardly worth bothering about.
