There are lots of illustrated works out there that rival or surpass DF's gore level. They would never get animated - censorship laws would make it outright unprofitable given the niche audience. DF is DF precisely because it doesn't bother with detailed graphics, which an anime must address - or were you thinking of an 8-bit anime like those parody scenes in Tower of Druaga?

Lol, detailed anime? You mean with the tiny little lines for noses and entire scenes where the only animated part is someone's mouth?

Anyway, back on topic: Where can I find a temple ingame? I used to find 'em occasionally, but I haven't seen any in the current version. Are they still in?

I think they've been removed. Closest thing I've seen are shrines. Maybe you should visit one of those.

Ohmygosh YES, and the standing around talking episodes could be the whole "I am Snosdub Gorehinges, slayer of Urist Mcsaiyan!"
And instead of gathering up dragon balls for the weird dragon thing, (forget his name, haven't watched it since I was a kid) the dwarve-saiyans gather up a tonne of *pig tail fiber socks*, and offer them up to the overseer in the hopes that they open up Runesmith and bring back all their dwarfy buddies to life. :D
This would be AWESOME!

In regards to everyone else: Right, next adventurer's making a lone pilgrimage to a shrine, armed only with the severed arm of a lord and a loincloth.
