Topic: artifacts disappear on abandon? Since when? (Read 898 times)

The wiki says that artifacts disappear when you abandon your fort, but I've always gone to collect my artifacts in adventure mode after a fort. Is the wiki correct? If so, when did this change take place?

They don't appear on the artifact menu after reclaim, but they're still in the fort.

You can try, but the game will get very confused and prevent them from ever being removed from the bin in which they were stored - sometimes this will result in the creation of duplicates of the artifact, but those tend to disappear into thin air. If you try to trade them away, the other civilization might not actually get to take them, resulting in them leaving with negative profit and getting angry with you.
